God Has Forgiven And Forgotten Our Past

Past

God is so good that He does not harbour any ill feelings towards us. He is so large and can deal with any offence made against Him. His love is immeasurable and can absorb all the evil in the world. This is what He did when He sent Jesus to die on the Cross for the sins of the world. In one event He cancelled the sins of the world. This is how big our God is. He remembers our sins no more. Yet we continue to live as if our sins are not forgiven. We carry the burdens of our sinful past as if they are still present. What a sorry state this is!

Present

We must now forgive ourselves and forget our past. This is easily said then done. We are reminded each day of our failures and weaknesses. The devil will remind us of our sinful past. However God has a different word and His word is final. He says take my yoke for it is easy and light. Burdens are lifted at Calvary. Yet we prefer to carry our own burdens than let it go. Many are laden with heavy burdens. God is calling us to let go and let Him carry our burdens.

Future

By faith we can come to Him and let go of our burdens. We must daily repent of any sins committed and let them go. This is the only way to live an abundant life. God's word is truth and He does not lie. We must believe His word and not the opinions of man. This is the only way to walk in victory. Today let go of your burdens and enjoy the freedom of life in Spirit.

Pray The Answer And Not The Problem.

Prayer

Most times we go into prayer when we have a need. Our prayers are mainly to request God to supply a need. We hardly pray when we don't have a need. However this is not what prayer is about. God made us to have fellowship with Him. He is not a vending machine where He supplies what we want. We turn to God as if He is waiting to meet all our needs. When prayer is seen as the highest form of intimacy with God, it brings about a change in our relationship with Him. God is not treated as a thing but a person. He is our Heavenly Father in heaven who created us for this one purpose, to have fellowship with Him.

Jesus

Jesus always was in communion with His Father. He only did what He heard and saw His Father doing. This means that He walked in close communion with Him. We too are called to have a similar relationship with Him. In this relationship all our needs are met even without asking, for He knows what we need even before we ask Him. We can rest knowing that He is our Provider and Healer. All our needs are met in Him. Jesus accomplished this on the Cross when He said " It is finished". He purchased all that was robbed from us through the Fall. Now we can enjoy the fellowship that Adam and Eve had before the Fall.

Fellowship

Prayer now becomes a fellowship where God answers and we grow in intimacy with Him. This is the most powerful relationship we can have on earth. Imagine the Trinity dwelling within us. His Holy Spirit dwells in our spirit and we can call Him Abba Father. We now are His representatives on earth connecting earth with heaven. We become His light bearers in a fallen world. Nothing can harm us as His light surrounds us. All disease and disorder will have to bow to the Name of Jesus. We become His answer to a fallen and sick world

What Is Of The Spirit Is Permanent

Spirit

God created us spirit, soul and body (1 Thess 5:23). However few of us are aware of this and so fail to invest in our spirit. Our spirit was dead through the Fall but born again through the Holy Spirit when we received Jesus as our Lord and Saviour. This new birth experience in the spirit opened our eyes to see into the spirit world. We were once blind but now we see. Most people are dead in the spirit and what they think is spirit is their soul. The soul mimics the things of the spirit. We were made in the image of God and therefore will search for ways to connect with Him. However most will be led to search in wrong places and therefore create idols to worship. This is what has led to many man made religions around the world. Man was left to create a god of his own making. 

Soul

The soul is made up of our thoughts, feelings and will. Most people are aware of their thoughts and feelings but yet unable to control them. We are influenced by the things around us and so distracted from the real thing. We desire to be in control and anything that takes this away from us unsettles us. We become controlling of others just to stay in control. We become violent to control others. Most of our dealings with others are from our soul. Manipulation and control is seen everywhere. We feel secure when we are in control. However many fall into desperate times for one can never by happy by controlling others. Fear sets in for you don't know how long you can control others. Dictators are made like this and fall on their sword.

Faith

God desires us to trust Him and walk by faith. He has provided us a way of escape in the spirit. His word and Spirit work together to transform us into His image. Being transformed into His image is a work of His Spirit in us. We cannot do anything to change us but to trust Him. He who began a work in us will complete it. He is the author and finisher of our faith. The work He does in us is permanent. What is of the soul is temporary. Therefore let us walk by the Spirit and make a permanent home for Him to dwell in us. What we build will be tested and only that which is of the Spirit will last.

Till The Soil Of Your Soul Till It Is Made Whole.

Soul

Our soul is that part of our being that is made up of our thoughts, feelings and will. Our spirit was redeemed when we were born again of the Holy Spirit. Our soul and body continue to be prone to sin. Our soul is being redeemed though the renewing of our mind. Our body is also affected by this renewal. Therefore our soul needs to be renewed to manifest our new nature in the spirit. We are a new creation but manifestation is hindered by our soul which still operates under the influence of the old nature. Many are deceived thinking they are well now that they re born again. No wonder we do not see a difference in behaviour in the church and the world. The missing factor is the need to till our soul.

Tilling

Tilling our soul is to change our thinking to conform with the word of God. When our mind is renewed then our feelings will also be renewed. The word of God is our template for renewal. We need the word of God and the Spirit to bring about change in our soul. This is to work out our salvation. Our position in Christ is established but now our relationship with Him must grow. A child needs milk and as the child grows needs meat to grow. So also we need to grow in our relationship with the Spirit to be like Jesus. 

Spirit

In the Spirit we have all things we need to live a holy life. Living in the Spirit is to walk by faith. We can tap into the resources in heaven through His Spirit in us. God will reveal His thoughts to us and we get renewed through this process. This is the only way we can experience the resurrection power of Jesus. There is no other way to transformation. Our soul needs to experience death to experience life. We must die to our old self and be renewed in the new. This is the goal of our salvation. Let us today walk in the Spirit and be renewed to be like Jesus.

Sow In The Spirit, Reap From The Spirit

Spirit Beings

God created us as a spirit being but few of us sow into the spirit. We are so accustomed to walk in the flesh that we have no consciousness of our spirit. God is Spirit and He communicates with us through His Spirit to our spirit. Most teachers only teach from their soul and so our spirit is malnourished in the things of God. This sorry state is what we see in the church today. Man keeps seeking for things spiritual and because of blindness tap into the demonic realms. This is the danger in delving into other religious or New  age teachings. They promise much but little is delivered. Instead they trap us into the occult and so we see the evidence of this in art, theatre and media. 

Truth

There is only one truth and that is in Jesus. He said that "No man can come to the Father God but through Me". This is the truth. Now we can accept it and receive salvation or reject it and be dammed. There are only two options in the spirit world. One is the heavenly and the other is the demonic. This is the reality and this is what Jesus came to reveal to us. Because of spiritual blindness we are attracted by spiritual persuasions as our hearts yearn to know the truth. Once we see, we become new in the Spirit. I  once was blind but now I see is so true. Yet this path is just the beginning of the journey to wholeness.

Heavenly Life

Our soul will always be attracted to keep us bound to earth. God wants us to live a heavenly life on earth. However we will resist this because we are so earth bound. Death is the only reality that wakes us up to realise that there is something more than what we see here. When we have this awakening we will pursue all that heaven has in store for us. We will tap into the invisible to make it visible. All the resources in heaven are available to us if we will only believe. Let us today tap into the resources in heaven and live life to the full and not just exist.

I Have Been Chosen For A Time Like This.

Chosen

This may sound rather bombastic but I really feel chosen to be His voice in a time like this. I have tasted the goodness of the Lord over the years and feel so privileged to be called a son of God. This is not just to do with salvation but one is chosen to proclaim the Good News of the Gospel. In times like this where we are surrounded by despair and confusion, we need to hear what the Spirit is saying. Only those who are born again of the Spirit can hear His Spirit. Most even born again believers continue to walk in the flesh and not in the Spirit. This is the sad state of the church which the Bible describes as carnal.

Provision

God has provided us with a way of escape from this desperate state. In His Spirit we have supernatural provision for every need. When the Israelites wandered in the desert for forty years, God provided supernatural manna for their sustenance. Their clothes and shoes never wore out. This is what will happen during these times when we will be faced with food shortages and times of darkness. A light will shine in the midst of the darkness. God's plans cannot be thwarted. The enemy will try and destroy but God will come to the rescue. His people will rejoice at His providence.

Now Is The Time

This is the time to let go and let God. God is looking for people who will surrender all to Him. We will rest in the knowledge that He is in control and He will see us through till the end. What He has started He will complete. All we need to do is to walk in the Spirit and our soul and body will come in alignment. God is raising up servants to proclaim the Good news with signs and wonders following. Yes we shall see an abundance of miracles and all glory will be to His Name. Let us enter into the promised land now and never look back.

You Can Be In Your Secret Place All The Time.

Secret Place

God says that He will provide a way of escape in times of trouble. What is this way and place to escape to? I believe it is the secret place of His holy habitation. This is the place where our spirit communes with His Spirit. This is the place where we can hide and be ministered to by His Spirit. When we are in trouble we look for solutions to get us out of it. This is a natural response as none of us want to be distressed by our circumstances. However God says we need to trust Him during these times and not our own ways. Our ways may lead us to look for solutions in the wrong places. Many resort to drugs and alcohol as a way of escape. 

Habitation

God has a place for us to dwell in all the time. This is His place of habitation. We do visit this place from time to time especially in prayer. However we can operate from this place all the time. In the world we are taught to function in different roles to achieve different tasks. In the Spirit we operate in the same position but use different strategies. God's strategies are His ways. When we come to know His ways, we become more familiar with His personality. His ways are based on righteousness and truth. Our ways many times are selfish and self preserving. God sometimes allows us to face difficulties to mature us to be like Him.

Hiding Place

The secret place is our hiding place. In the Spirit we are not limited in time or space. We can be in the Spirit wherever we are. We can pray in the spirit all the time whilst we are doing our daily chores. In the Spirit we can go places and minister in the Spirit to people. God' s Spirit will put His burdens on our heart and we can pray through to deliverance. This is how the Kingdom of God operates. Sadly the church has lost the art of intercession. Jesus took time to pray and be charged in His spirit. He continues to pray for us as do all the saints in heaven who have gone before us. We need to take our place on earth to cooperate with heaven to establish His Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.

Choose To Live In The Spirit Daily Rather Than Your Head.

Spirit

God created us as a triune being in body, soul and spirit. Our spirit was redeemed when we were born again in the spirit through receiving His redemption of our spirit on the Cross. We however still live in our body and operate through our soul. Our soul which is our mind, emotions and will process our thoughts and implement our actions. These actions are mainly dictated by our senses which are still largely influenced by the world around us and the devil. We still struggle with the consequences of sin in our body and soul. This is why we see so much confusion and destruction around us. Our soul fights to survive through control and manipulation. Our conscience gets dulled over time because we get hardened by the world around us. 

Flesh

We see the evidence of the works of the flesh around us. Most of us learn to live with it and make compromises for the sake of peace. However this peace is temporary because it is based on lies rather than truth. Lies have the ability to distort the facts and compromise truth. We therefore appear to go round in circles. Each generation suffers the same ills but in different forms. This pervades all areas of life from the individual, family and society at large. Wars are fought to win control and domination. Fear is the ruling spirit in the world. Disease and sickness spread at a rapid rate through fear. There is no rest for the wicked. The world moves on from one crisis to another.

Jesus

Jesus came to deliver us from this present darkness. He enables us to operate in the Spirit as He did when He walked on earth. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives in us. We have access to His Spirit all the time. All we need to do is trust Him to speak to us. He speaks to us through all creation. He sends signs in the heavens and on earth. He will bless us from His riches in glory as we trust Him for all things. He becomes our habitation or dwelling place. In Him we are safe and secure for eternity. Come today and walk in the Spirit and prevail.

Life Is An Illusion. The Only Reality Is Jesus.

Illusion

An illusion is something that we see but it is a false perception. Our mind is able to conjure different scenarios of a situation. Some we believe and take action on and others we discard. However all that we see or think is a creation of our mind. Our mind is not limited by time or space and can imagine things from different perspectives. Most of it is driven by our thoughts and feelings. When we feel suspicious we have allowed those thoughts to infiltrate our mind. We then conjure up scenes that confirm our suspicion. Many of us are unconscious to this process. We are led by our thoughts and feelings. Many relationships struggle with these illusory perceptions. All they are, are perceptions and these can be changed with new information.

Spirit

Our spirit has access to the Holy Spirit who lives in those who believe. We can discern between right and wrong. We can operate in the spirit and not give into illusions of the truth. Our soul on the other hand is very sense oriented. It is led by our senses, what we see and hear. We hear a bad report and believe it, till we hear the other side of the report. Many conflicts can be resolved when we realise that there are two sides to a story. Many court battles try to convince the judge of one side of the story. These are all illusions of the truth. Most are unaware of the demonic influences in our daily lives. Demons work through people. Demons cause division and strife and where there is such strife become aware of demonic activity.

Demonic

Jesus came to set us free from the demonic. Everywhere He went, He was dealing with the demonic. Yet very little of this is preached in churches. Signs and wonders followed the preaching of the word. Captives were set free and the sick were made whole. This is how we recognise that the Kingdom of God is at hand. Where there is strife and disunity nothing of God will survive. We are in a battle for the minds and hearts of those who are being saved. Many are the illusions that lead us away from the truth. Illusions give us a false sense of security because they are temporary. What is of the truth is eternal. Let us give up our illusions of temporary happiness and work to be children of light in a dark world.
