Self Healing And Self Deliverance. This Is Your Privilege

Many seek for healing and deliverance and look up to people to heal them. They go to doctors to get medicine or subject themselves to various interventions to be healed. However there is another way that has been opened for us to be healed and delivered. Jesus came to make the way for us to be healed through His sacrifice on the Cross. The Bible says that He took our diseases and sicknesses  on the Cross. Now we can be healed and delivered if we believe in this

Healing was accomplished on the Cross 2000 years ago. Jesus’ healing is available now to those who believe. Many believe they can be healed and are healed. Others believe taking medicine can heal them and they are healed. There are many ways God can use to provide healing. I can testify that I have been healed through asking and believing God for my miracle healing. On two occasions it happened suddenly, while in other cases it was more gradual. In these latter cases, I trusted His healing word and persisted in believing it till the healing was manifested in my body.  You too can ask God for your healing and expect to be healed, God can also use doctors and medicine to heal you.

Many people are bound by evil spirits in their soul life and need to be delivered. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. Most people don't believe there is a devil or that we can be oppressed by the devil. Many diseases and disorders are caused by demonic oppression. There is no sickness or disease in heaven. Yet we pray Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. So why can't we believe to be disease free? We can be delivered from demonic oppression, since we can cast demons out of ourselves in the Name of Jesus. This is our privilege as children of God. Many addictions and obsessions are due to demonic habitation. No amount of psychological therapy can dislodge demons. Seek to be delivered today in Jesus Name.

Say this prayer, I believe you died Jesus for my sins. I repent and ask for forgiveness. Heal me of my disease and deliver me from demonic oppression. I ask this in your Name. Persist in believing till you see the manifestation of your healing and deliverance.

Your Mental Framework Determines Meaning.

Mental frameworks are like templates that we have framed over time to help us understand our world. Without a framework what we hear and see does not make sense. We interpret what we see and hear and know through our senses based on these frameworks. Most of us are not conscious of these frameworks. They have been developed over time through learning and training. Some schools program us  and indoctrinate us with their philosophy to think and perceive in a certain way. Such programming from an early age distorts reality and deludes us into thinking in a certain narrow way. Communism and other isms have pursued this path of indoctrination. We therefore interpret what we see and hear based on those frameworks. Anything outside that frame of reference is seen as an anathema.

Our mind can be trained to think in certain ways which can be destructive or constructive. Cults are known to indoctrinate their followers in certain ways. The boundaries are so rigid that anything outside them will cause distress or breakdown. Emotions are aroused to hate and not to love. Jihad is a good example of this. Followers of the radical wing of Islam are trained to hate the infidels and if necessary kill them. So also in other radical persuasions the same dynamic operates.

Jesus came to proclaim the year of deliverance. Many saw Him as the Deliverer from the oppressive Roman empire. Others saw Him as the Messiah. The interpretation was based on their mental framework. Finally one group won and they crucified Him.Yet God’s purpose was fulfilled. What was planned for destruction by the devil eventuated in the salvation of the world. We see the same scenarios being enacted today. COVID-19 is waking people up to the reality of death and at the same time many are crying out to God for salvation. What was meant for destruction is now turning many hearts to God. Paul was out to destroy the followers of Jesus but one encounter changed him into a follower. Examine your mental framework and understand others from their frame of reference.

Do You Worship A Supernatural God Or A Natural God?

Our image of God matters. What is our experience of God? Is He a God out there in the distance and unknown or a personal intimate God? Is He someone who we think we know but have no relationship with Him? Is He a supernatural being who is a Spirit rather than flesh and blood? Our response makes the difference in terms of whom we worship. Many have made God after their own image. This is a god they have made to benefit self. Many idols are made to symbolise this god. In all of us there is a need to worship someone or some thing beyond ourselves. This need was in us since we were born. How we meet this need is varied depending on what we have been taught or the environment we have grown up in.

God created in us a longing for Himself. He created us to have fellowship with Him. This was the original intent of God. However since the fall, this fellowship has been broken. Now man is left to his own devices to make God according to his image. We were made in God's image. However since the fall we have been born in man's image. Now God sent Jesus to restore us to God's image. We are now a new creation in His image. This is what is called the born-again experience. We were born again in the Spirit so we can worship God in Spirit and in Truth. This is a supernatural transaction.

God is supernatural. He is Spirit and dwells in the third heaven. Yet He is omniscient and dwells within us. This is a mystery. God has made His habitation in us so that we can habitate with Him in heaven. All we have to do is surrender to Him. We are spirit beings on an earthly journey. Our final destination is in heaven with Him. Now, in the spirit, we are seated in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Eph 2:6). Our feet are on the ground on earth. Now we can operate from heaven while on earth and see His Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven. What a glorious inheritance we have in Jesus.

Who Or What Do You Serve?

Who or what do you serve is an interesting question to ask anyone who desires to know,  what is the one thing that drives you? We all have drivers that keep us going forward. This could be a vision, purpose or goal. We live in a performance-based world. From early childhood we have been driven to achieve goals and win.  Those who are laid back are seen as lazy. Whether at school or work, we are challenged to achieve goals. This keeps us moving forward, or it appears that way. However many times when we look back, we have been going round in circles, most of the time. We change our language but  achieve the same end. This is because we don't learn from history and reinvent the same wheel.

The game changes if we sit back and ask ourselves what is the point of all this. Most of us go to work to earn money, to meet our needs or wants. This is good as the Bible says that we should not eat if we do not work. Many are satisfied with hand-outs from the government. They have decided to give up the rat-race for it is easier to be fed than to feed oneself. In a performance-based world there will be winners and losers. What happens if we change the narrative and ask the question, Who do we serve?

Who we serve changes the game from performance to a person. If we serve self then we are performing to make oneself better than our neighbour. If we serve another then we are serving others. I have chosen to serve Jesus. I have gone through the performance cycle and the self-serving cycle. I feel there is nothing more satisfying than to serve Him who gave His life for me.

Serving Jesus is to love God and love your neighbour. God owns me. I don't own God. I therefore live to glorify His name. Jesus is my owner for He created me and also redeemed me by shedding His blood on the Cross. Now He can do what He wants with me. This is to come to a place of rest. He possesses me so that He can use me to achieve His purposes. I enjoy this relationship because it is based on love rather than performance. He is a loving God and He knows what is best for me. Thank you Jesus for saving me from the rat-race where everyone is a rat, involved in a competitive struggle. Now I am a son privileged to live a life of abundance, secured for me on Calvary.

The Glory Of God On Earth

The manifest glory of God is prophesied to be the next move of God on earth. We have seen the results of the presence of God and the anointing of God. Now God is going to move in His manifest presence. This is going to be a game changer. For some, God's glory is something that has to be experienced in order to believe in it. In His glory anything can happen. The impossible becomes possible. It is not based on the anointing upon a person. It is His presence that invades the room and all can experience a shift in the atmosphere and know that He is there. In His glory transformation happens. It is not just change but being transformed into His likeness. The suddenlies happen.  What was abnormal becomes normal. The cripples walk, the deaf hear and the blind see suddenly. It is not progressive healing but miracles.

Now God is moving in these days in a measure never seen before. There have been many movements on earth but they tend to be localised. When His glory comes there will be evidence of His move globally. This won't be limited to certain ministries or localities or persons. This will be felt by the saved and unsaved in the world. Just as the spread of COVID 19 is a global event so also the manifestation of the glory of God will be a global event. There will be mass conversions and people will cry out in repentance. Crime will drop and peace will prevail. What a phenomenon it will be to behold. No man will be able to take any credit for this mighty move of God.

Come Lord Jesus and deliver us from our present state. We need You to come and visit us in Your glory. We need Heaven to invade earth and set us on fire for You. We are helpless without You. The earth is crying out for Your mercy and longing for the manifestation of the sons of God. Lord Jesus send Your angels to prepare Your people for the move of Your glory. Let us pray and not give up. His glory will come as His people pray.

Is God An Idol Or A Person To Be Worshipped ?

God created us in His image. We are an image of God not God. An image is a reflection and not the real thing. When you look in the mirror you see an image of you. When you confuse the image with your real self then confusion will rule. This is what is happening around us. We are worshipping the false image of ourselves as seen in the mirror rather than who we really are. We promote ourselves and cover up our weaknesses and blemishes and sell a false self to others. This world is full of deception because fear rules our lives. Fear can become an idol that is worshipped. How? Fear drives us to do things to hide ourselves from the real. The real is too frightening and so we accept the unreal. The unreal is an idol to prop up the false self. What a dilemma we find ourselves in. Who can rescue us from this false idol?

Jesus came to save us from our fallen self. We were born in sin. Just as Adam and Eve covered themselves with leaves to cover their nakedness so we too cover ourselves with a covering to hide our real self. This cover up will work for a while but will not last. One day we will have to confront the real self beneath our cover. This is a reality test. If all your thoughts could be projected for others to see, what would you do? Commit suicide? Death can be an escape but there is a better way. Face up to your real you in Christ. He came for sinners not for saints.

Jesus is the real person who walked on the earth to show us the way out of the madness we are in. We can be a new creation in Him. He wants to restore us to the original person God created, and to live for eternity. Before Adam and Eve sinned they were destined to live for eternity. The fall led to them becoming limited in their life, and death was the result. Now God has made a way for us to shed our pretence and to accept the real. When we face the reality of our sin then we become real and can be saved. This is the best time to be saved from worshipping the idol of our fallen self and be transformed to be a child of God.

When you pray this prayer you can enter into the real you. Pray, Father I have sinned. Please forgive me  for all my sins. I accept your forgiveness. I receive your salvation through your Son Jesus who died for my sins. I receive Him as my Lord and believe He rose from the dead. Thank you for saving me. Thank you that now I am free to be me.

What Spirit Controls You? Holy Spirit or Demonic Spirit?

We are all made of body, soul and spirit. Most of us are aware of our body and soul but may not be aware of our spirit. God is Spirit. Many do not believe there is a God. Therefore it follows that they do not believe in a spirit world. God created us spirit beings so that we can communicate with Him and have a relationship with Him. Our spirit was cut off from God through the fall. Therefore, inherent in us is a void, which man has attempted to fill by creating a god in his own image to worship. This has led to many different ways to worship this god. Satan or the devil also likes to be worshipped and has deceived many into worshipping him in place of God. The Bible is clear about this and therefore Jesus came to show us the way to worship His Father, God, in spirit and in truth (John 4:23, 24).

When Jesus walked on the earth, He fought Satan who tried to tempt Him to worship him. Jesus’ main mission was to defeat Satan and his army of demons which He did on the Cross. Now the demons are out to deceive the elect so that they would go to hell with them. These demonic spirits gain access to our soul through sin and hurts and unforgiveness. Once in residence they operate through the lusts of the flesh to control our behaviour by influencing our emotions and thoughts. They control most of mankind who are unaware of their influence. They hide behind human weakness and disease and disorder. They affect both believers and non-believers. So what spirit controls you?

Discernment of spirits is a gift of Holy Spirit that is needed these days to know what spirit controls us. Many are deceived into thinking they are doing the right thing because they have an evil spirit of deception. The shop window looks good. Many are trapped in situations and relationships because of certain habits or lusts or addictions. Sexual disorders, drugs and religious spirits are examples of such attachments of demonic spirits. We need to be aware of these controlling spirits so that we can deal with them the way Jesus did. He threw them out and we need to do the same.

Jesus defeated these demonic forces on the Cross. His blood and Name now are our weapons to defeat these demonic infestations. They overcame Satan by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony (Rev 12:11). We have to do the same and free ourselves from their influence and control. Discern the spirit in you and others and be free from demonic spirits. In this way we won't be fighting people but the spirits that control them. This is a battle we have to fight while on earth as the god of this world is Satan.

Linear Thinking Versus Systemic Thinking.

Most of us brought up in the Greek style of thinking tend to think in terms of cause and effect. This is the basis of logical thinking which is predominant in western cultures. On the other hand, systemic or wholistic thinking is more of a feature of eastern cultures like in biblical times. This is the case for the Hebrew mind-set, where it is also called thinking in patterns. How we think determines how we perceive. If we think linearly then we think in one dimension only. This will exclude a lot of other factors. Scientific approaches use this method to determine cause and effect. This is good for scientific research although many variables have to be excluded. This is good for mathematical and engineering problem solving. This may not be the same in other fields like the arts and human affairs.

Systemic thinking allows for flow and looks for patterns rather than cause and effect. Patterns tend to repeat themselves just like seasons. This would mean that one has to look at the larger picture and be more aware of the interactions between parts that make up the whole. Studying individual parts alone will not be enough. A motor car engine has many parts but it is the synchronicity of the individual parts that makes the engine work. How the individual parts interact to make the engine work is more than a study of its individual parts. In a family, it is the interaction of the individuals that is more important than a study of the individuals. Each person has a role and all have to interact in a certain way to make the family functional.

Studying patterns is one way to understand why some families have got into problems. Using linear thinking will not work. One needs to look at the larger picture to understand the problem and come to the solution. Jesus talked in parables and the listener had to understand the meaning of the parables to understand the truth behind it. Many got stuck and made literal interpretations of His words. He said the temple would be destroyed and in three days it would be raised up. The Pharisees and scribes were confused by His statements and began to insult Him. Yet those who had ears to hear and eyes to see understood what He was saying. The others continued in blindness

I trust this blog helps you understand that there are different ways of thinking for different issues. Using one way of thinking for all issues can get you stuck unless you shift in your thinking, A shift in thinking will change your perception. Change of perception is what the ah ha experience is all about. Enlarge your tent, strengthen your stakes and be empowered.

Temptation Is Real. Sin Is Real. Redemption Is Real.

Every man faces temptation to sin. This is the reality. The Bible says we were born in sin (Ps 51:5). Psychology says we are basically good. The two do not agree on the basic nature of man. Spiritually we were dead due to sin. Our whole being was tainted by sin. We want to be good but there is in our members the inclination to sin. This was the dilemma Paul wrote about in Romans 7. However in Romans 8, he writes about the salvation we enjoy in Jesus who cancelled the power of sin and set us free. This is the solution the world needs because Jesus died for the sin of the whole world. There is no other solution. Psychology ministers at the level of the soul and not of the spirit. Our goodness and good works cannot set us free completely. Only the blood of Jesus can.

His redemption is complete and free. Jesus says in Him we have eternal life. It is the power of the eternal life that enables us to overcome sin. We now have the capacity and ability to overcome sin. Sin is so powerful that none of us have the power to overcome it in our own strength. The devil works through our sinful flesh. He tempts us and our members give in to temptation. This is what we see enacted before us in society daily and the media thrives on sinful behaviour. Our prisons keep us imprisoned to protect others from our sinful behaviour. The police keep us under control but it only works when they are around. All these are temporary solutions to a spiritual problem.

God provided an eternal solution by sending His only begotten Son to die for us. Yet people refuse to accept Him. They want to work for their salvation. Pride keeps them from seeing the answer. Pray that blind eyes will be opened to see the Saviour of the world and accept Him as Lord. I have accepted Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. I look forward to eternal life in Him. There is no other solution to the sin problem. He is the only Way, the Truth and the Life.

Casual Christianity Will Not Get You Into Heaven

God addressed the seven churches in Revelation 2 & 3. The same message can be applied to churches today. The message commended the churches but also had reprimands. Lukewarmness attracts a reprimand from the LordDoes this apply to our churches today? He said I wish you were cold or hot rather than lukewarm for which I will vomit you out of My mouth (Rev 3:15, 16). It makes Him sick to see a lukewarm church. This could apply to each one of us. Have we accommodated the world? Have we been more concerned about the crowds and fitting in with the world rather than being hot? How would God address the church of today?

Jesus did not go to the Cross for nothing. He did not have to come to earth as a man to suffer and die. However, He gave up everything in heaven, denied Himself, took up His Cross and died. How does this compare with our walk? His call is to deny ourself, take up our cross and follow Him. Do we measure up to His call? Can we say we are hot for Him?

Many like the message of the Cross but from a distance. We wear a cross to show we are a Christian. However do we carry our cross when it comes to death to self? Christ’s call is clear. He said leave all and follow  me.  All in Greek means all. There is no room for less than 100%. Why does God demand such a commitment? I believe this is for our sake. The devil is out to get us. Only a total commitment can keep him out. Like a soldier we must be ready to die for Him. His promises are abundant yet we are satisfied with a little. We have to choose whom we will serve today. I choose to follow the Lord.
