What Jesus Accomplished On The Cross Is Permanent

The Great Sacrifice

Jesus came to be the sacrifice for our sin. This was planned before man sinned. Jesus knew He had to come to redeem man. His redemption is permanent. However most of us still wallow in sin like a dog returning to its vomit. We have been cleansed completely from the power of original sin. The curse that was passed on from Adam has been cancelled permanently. So why do we still operate as if nothing has changed? This is because we are reminded of our past and think nothing has changed. We have to walk in the new life God has given us to experience the change. It is like we have been given a gift but fail to open the gift and receive it.

Gift Needs To Be Received

A gift needs to be received and owned to realise it's benefit. Most gifts are left on the shelf to be seen and not used. So also sometimes we treat our salvation as a free gift and then live like nothing has changed. What a sorry state this is. Many continue to live life as if what happened was just a phase or event. This is the sad state of many Christians who are born again but fail to experience the power. We have repented and our sins have been washed away yet we fail to see the manifestation of this cleansing. We still struggle with old thoughts and feelings. Some of us walk away from what we used to believe. This sad state can only be reversed through a baptism in fire.

Baptism In Fire

The baptism in fire is what Jesus promised when the we are baptised in the Holy Spirit. The baptism in water was to repentance and cleansing for sin. The baptism in fire is to enable us to walk in power. The two are separate experiences. Is the church anaemic because it has failed to teach and experience the baptism of fire? Today let us believe that we have been cleansed from sin permanently. The thoughts we have are not our own but sent to distract and assail us from without. We can choose to believe them or receive them. Once cleansed we are clean and acceptable in the sight of God. His righteousness is imparted to us. Now we need to walk in this knowledge and not entertain any other thought that is sent to belittle this position we have in Christ. Now we must be baptised in fire to walk in power over sin and the devil. This is our inheritance in Christ.

From Position In Christ To Relationship With Christ.

Position

A position is a indication where we stand. We position ourselves by making a decision as to where we choose to stand. We make statements like I choose to stand in Christ and not against Him. Some choose to reject Him. We have all been given a choice to make Jesus Lord of our life or not. When we receive Jesus as our Lord and Saviour we position ourselves in Him. This position grants us all the promises of God including eternal life. We are saved to be with Him for eternity. However this position does not say much about our relationship with Him. A position does not mean that we have a relationship with Him. Our position only indicates where we stand with Him.

Relationship

Relationship is an ongoing state that indicates that we have moved on from our position. We grow in our relationship. We don't grow in our position. Relationship is dynamic while a position is static. Many are in the right position but not in a relationship with Christ. This is a shift that needs to occur if we are to grow in Christ. Most are satisfied by being saved and go on to live life like everyone else in the world. The call for separation from the world does not occur. This is to walk after the flesh. Walking after the flesh leads to death and not life. Is this why we see a dead church rather than one that is vibrant and alive?

Jesus

Jesus has a relationship with His Father and only did what He saw and heard His Father doing. This is an active two way process. We too are called to have a relationship with our Father in heaven. We can only do this through His Spirit who lives in us. We are to walk in authority and manifest signs and wonders around us and do greater works than what Jesus did. This is what Jesus promised but how little  do we see His works manifested in our midst. No wonder the church has lost its power to be the head and not the tail. It is time we restored our relationship with our Father and be like Jesus on earth.

Jesus Left His Throne To Bring Us To The Throne

Jesus

God knew before we were created that we would fall and Jesus had to leave His throne to redeem us. Satan had already fallen and so had no place on the throne. We were created in God's image and so had a free will to choose. This God knew would result in the fall of man but He had already planned how we would be redeemed. Jesus was prepared to come to earth in the form of man to die and be the sacrifice for our redemption. It is beyond our limited thinking to comprehend the wondrous plan for our redemption. Yet man continues to reject God's solution and seeks other ways to be saved.

Christmas

Christmas is the time when we celebrate the birth of Jesus on earth. Yet most of us are caught up with the worldly way of celebration with tinsel and lights. God came in the form of man to redeem us. There was no other way for justice had to be made through sacrifice. Sin and its power had to be reversed. Only the pure blood of God could redeem us. Jesus died and rose again to redeem us. Now there is an empty tomb, and empty Cross but an occupied throne. Jesus has paved the way for us to sit on the throne with Him. What a wondrous plan of redemption to those who will believe.

Throne

Now we are seated on the throne with Jesus to rule on earth. We have been given the authority to rule and reign. Satan has been defeated though he is still the god of this world. We are in a war zone where we have to fight the forces that are bent on destruction. Satan lies and destroys. Jesus came to bring life and that eternal. These two forces are now at work on earth. We are on the victory side although it does not appear to be so at times. We know we will win finally yet we need to fight to win. This battle is against principalities and powers and not against flesh and blood. Let us take our rightful place today and be light and salt in this dark world.

We Are One Human Race In Different Colours

Differences

The differences that separate us are superficial. We are different in our physical appearance, psychological make up and spiritual state. Yet we are similar in the sense that we are all human and made in the image of God. So why do we allow our differences to separate us rather than our sameness? I think that difference is what marks us human. We are different because we are all individuals with a unique finger print. We are unique because of our difference. However instead of the difference making us brighter and better we allow them to separate us. This is seen through out human history. We have different classes and positions that keep us separate from each other. The rich and the poor, the lower class and the middle class, the whites and the blacks and so on. God never intended this to happen.

Sin

Sin entered the world and divided us into different classes. Pride which is the basic sin of mankind keeps wanting to be separate and different. We want to be richer than our neighbour and pride drives us to excel and be better. However there is a cost. The cost is a loss of community and unity. We are always suspicious of the intents of the other. We think that no one is there to help us but only to hurt us. In this climate of difference everything becomes a battle. Wars are fought to keep our race and identity secure. This happens in the family, politics and nations. Conflict is the norm and some are able to resolve issues but most separate.

Cross

What is the way out of this dilemma? I believe it is only the Cross of Jesus that can save us from our pride and greed and unite us in one Spirit. His Spirit can unite our differences and see beauty in difference rather than conflict. We all have different gifts and when we combine them as a body, we become a beautiful tapestry of His creation. This I believe is how we build the Kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven. When Jesus is Lord, all things come together and His Spirit binds us together like no other. Let us unite our hearts together and appreciate our difference and see the beauty in it.

Is It Possible To Be Possessed By The Holy Spirit?

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is a person and comes to reside in a person who accepts Jesus as Lord and Saviour of their life. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Jesus. The same Holy Spirit dwelt in Jesus when He walked on earth. Imagine what power resides in a person who is filled in the Spirit. The in filling is subject to our consent. We are to be filled in the Spirit and to walk by the Spirit. However most of us continue to only be partially filled because we walk by the flesh. The flesh has to die to make room for the Spirit in filling us. The more the flesh dies, the more the Spirit fills us. We have to make room for the Spirit. 

Choice

God gives us the freedom to choose how we will walk. Our walk is conditional on our consent to the Spirit. The more we desire to be filled the more we will experience the power of God manifesting through us. The filling of the Spirit is to enable us to walk by the Spirit and not by the flesh. We know the difference because the walk in the Spirit is rest and not work. So to be possessed by the Holy Spirit is to be dead to the flesh and completely detached from it. It will be like observing your body rather than being in your body. We observe others and now we can observe ourselves. This may sound unreal but we all have experienced this at times. This is especially so when we are ministering to others in the Spirit.

Death To Self

We can be possessed by the Holy Spirit. We do this by daily dying to self and asking the Holy Spirit to possess us. This may sound frightening but there is no fear in perfect love. Eternal love will consume us and we can't help but be possessed. There is no other way of living an abundant life on earth as it is in heaven. Come Holy Spirit and possess me today that I may enjoy your abundant life just as Jesus did on earth. Signs and wonders will follow and many will be healed and set free.

Our Mind Is The Major Hindrance From Receiving Our Inheritance

Mind

Our mind is the central processing centre for all our thoughts. Our thoughts determine how we feel. When our mind is in control then we will feel in charge. However this also means that we are in control. This is the fallen state of man. Man wanted to be like God and so fell in his pursuit. God desires that He be God and no one else should overrule Him. He created us for a purpose and He wants to bless us. He is a good God. However we think we know better and question our Creator. This process of wanting to think like God is the reason we get into difficulties. In a fallen world we will never be able to think like God.

God

God has made us a way of escape from this dilemma. He sent Jesus to free us from this life of law and death. He gives us eternal life. Our life here is limited and so is all things created. We see this daily in our lives where all that we own decays and dies. Our possessions have a finite life and one day will rot and decay. We have to service our equipment to keep it running. God has promised us eternal life. This life never ends and is always fresh. It is as if we never grow old. He has promised us riches from heaven like manna from heaven. Yet we rather eat from the crumbs under the table.

Spirit

Our mind is so self centred that it cannot see the larger picture. Even if we do, it is rather limited. God is above our physical realm. He is Spirit. We were created as spirit beings and therefore have the ability to commune with Him. The spirit world is the real world. The physical world is just a copy of the real. When we tap into the real we become alive. The Spirit leads us into a abundant life here and now. Why be satisfied for the copy when the real is available to us? Come now to the river of life and be filled with abundant life.

The Word Of God Is Like Medicine For Your Body, Soul And Spirit

The Word Of God

The word of God is a person. The word and the person are the same. In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word is God (John 1:1). This is a profound statement and encapsulates the whole gospel. Jesus is the Word made flesh. He spoke the word of God. The written word of God is a person. When we read His word we are in reality eating and drinking His word. When we eat the bread and drink the wine we are also doing the same thing. We eat His flesh and drink His blood. One is symbol which helps us into the real thing. When we come to the understanding that God's written word is the same as His living Word, revelation comes forth. Healing and deliverance follow this revelation.

Witten Word

God communicates with us through His written word. However many read the word as a work of literature rather than the word of God. The shift from the written word to the living Word comes by faith. We must eat the word of God as if it is medicine. This then becomes real in our body and soul. This is the transforming power of the word. We know how persuasive speech can be. When we listen to a good speaker they are able to convince us by their spoken word. So also the written word of God spoken out has power to transform us. This transformation is what leads to the manifestation of signs and wonders. God's word is powerful to move mountains. Speak to your mountain and see it move.

Living Word

When we take God's word like medicine it will be health to our flesh and our soul. Our spirit has been redeemed but our soul has to be redeemed. It is redeemed through the renewal of our mind. The word of God will renew our mind to see things the way God sees us. This shift is what we need to see in the world. The world has embraced false teachings that bring destruction and disease to our body and soul. This can only be reversed by embracing the truth. Jesus said He is the Truth. Therefore when we embrace Him we receive life. His life is abundant life and eternal life. There is no other way then His way to enjoy abundant life. Only eternal life can meet our need to live abundantly. All other ways are limited as life is limited by death. Jesus overcame death and hell and offers us eternal life in Him.

The Most Powerful Prayer You Can Pray: "Jesus Help Me".

Prayer

 Prayer is a two way communication between God and man. Jesus prayed daily to His Father to know what His Father wanted Him to do. Jesus only did what He heard and saw His Father doing. We too are called to do the same. Many times we think we can do things ourselves but this is called pride. Pride always wants to do it my way and not His way. This is why we need to surrender all to God and not just parts of our self. Total surrender is the only way to walk life in the Spirit. The flesh will always want to exert itself and go its own way. This was the result of the Fall when Adam and Eve chose to go their own way. That sin has plagued all of humanity since then. Jesus has made the way to turn from our selfish ways to His way.

Jesus 

 "Jesus help me" is a powerful prayer that acknowledges total dependence on Him in all things. Our mind and feelings and circumstances have a huge influence on us. They are still not redeemed and so we can fall at anytime. Our spirit however has been redeemed when we received Jesus as our Lord and Saviour. Now we need to walk according to the Spirit and not according to our flesh. This means total dependence on the Holy Spirit who lives in us. He will guide us in all things and we will walk in supernatural power. What appears impossible becomes possible. This is the heavenly life Jesus has made possible for us to live. Today call Him Lord and live. 

Total Surrender

There is no other way to please the Father than to be totally surrendered to Him. He will answer our prayers for He knows our frail state. Many unanswered prayers can be traced to the fact that we are still walking in the flesh. Our mind controls us and dictates what we should do. We need to switch from an earthly mindset to a heavenly mindset. We are seated in heavenly places in Christ. We need to rule from above. We are the head and not the tail. We are are victors, not victims. This is a shift that will enable us to overthrow the devil and live life to the full. Jesus made the way for us. Now we need to walk in it.

Enter

God Understands Like No One Else Does

God is all knowing and all present. We lack understanding and think we know when we really don't. Why did Jesus have to die? Jesus is God and He knows what He is doing. Why should a man die for the sins of another? Why suffer when God has promised us an abundant life? Some of the things that happen to us do not make sense. No one understands what I am going through is a frequent thought we have. We think we are unique to our problems. Yet God understands our situation. He is the only one who understands and can get us out of the mess we are in. We can then share the message with others. We know all about everything but we lack understanding. Knowing is not understanding. We read a lot and we see a lot but still lack understanding. We can read the word of God but still not understand. Jesus spent three and a half years with His disciples to get them to understand. When they understood He was prepared to leave them to finish the job of sharing the good news of His death and resurrection. Yet they did not understand till they were filled with the Holy Spirit. Peter denied him three times before His death. How much do we understand and think we know when we really don't? When we come to God He will reveal to us Himself. In Him we understand that all things work for good to those who love God and who are called to fulfil His purpose. He has an assignment for each one of us. When we are fulfilling His call then we do not have to question His purpose. He is in control and He will fulfil His purpose. His purpose is that we become like His Son, Jesus. We may think we have a job to do but His purpose is to make us like His Son. Now we understand because we know Him as our Father. We thank Him for all things that have happened, good and not so good in our lives because we know He knows best.

God Sees Even When Others Don't

God Sees

How comforting the thought that God sees everything and nothing is out of His sight. He watches over us like a mother watches over her child. God knows what you are going through and understands. He sees the longings of your heart. He understands your pain. He came as the Son of man to reveal Himself to us. He identified with our suffering and problems with sin but did not sin. He came to show us the way out of the power of sin and into enjoying abundant life. We can enjoy abundant life even when everyone appears to reject God and His ways. Yes the world will go its way but God is still on the throne. He beckons us to come His way to sit with Him on His throne.

God's Way

God has made a way for us so that we can overcome every hurdle and challenge we face. He knows our weak state and reveals His strength in our weakness. He is the Alpha and Omega of our faith. We have to choose daily to walk with Him and not listen to the voices that distract us. This is our challenge daily to listen to His voice through His word. His word is eternal and never loses its power. Therefore when we consume His word we do consume His life. This is the way He transforms us and makes us ready for Kingdom rule. His Kingdom is within us because the King resides within us. This is a profound thought but true.

God's Work

God is at work redeeming mankind to Himself. We are His messengers delivering His message to the world. We have been chosen to do so. He is with us all the time. Even during our down times He is there. Even when we don't feel Him, He is there. He will nor leave us or forsake us. However we must be vigilant not to forsake Him. The devil is our adversary and he will try to take us away from Him. The devil knows his end but would do everything he can to take us away from God. God sees and He knows and His angels will keep us moving forward and never backward. Come to the river of life and be still and know that He cares for you.

In Heaven There Are Only Answers. No Questions.

Questions

Now we see dimly but one day we will see clearly. This is so true especially when we think of heaven and the life in the here after. Many have lost loved ones suddenly during the past year. Many have prayed for healing but the healing came through death. We are left with questions and very few answers. What do we do when things happen to us and there appear no answers? I was nearly run over by a car but was saved from being hit. I never planned this but it could have been different if I was hit. How suddenly things could have changed and my life cut short. I lost a friend recently who suddenly took a turn for the worse and died within two weeks. Yet we rejoice that we have a hope that keeps us sane and rejoices even in calamity.

Answers

Many questions but few answers. Yet God has the answers and one day we too will see as He sees. We see dimly and therefore have questions. In heaven there are only answers and all our questions will be answered. How good to know that we don't know everything for if we did, we would no longer have to live by faith. Faith believes even when we don't see. I believe in Gods healing even if I don't see it now.  I choose to believe and not doubt. One day the healing will come and I will rejoice at the perfect timing. There are many things I don't know now but one day I will know. Today I choose to walk by faith and believe the best is yet to come.

Heaven

In heaven every need is provided for. We can therefore be rest assured that when we pray " Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven", it will be done. The timing on earth when His will will be done maybe different. Sometimes it happens suddenly but mostly it happens gradually. When we ask, we receive. When we knock, the door will be opened. Let us believe for the answers to our prayers and not relent till we see it manifested in our lives.

Beware Of Demonic Infiltration Compromising Your Faith

Demonic

Demonic influences are not talked about much in Christian circles these days. The demonic is real yet many churches do not teach on this subject. Many are unaware or ignorant of the source of their problems because of lack of knowledge. The demonic  is real and becomes more real when one is engaged in spiritual warfare. We do not fight against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers. These principalities and powers belong to a Satanic kingdom that war against the Kingdom of God. How do we become aware of this kingdom of darkness?

Evil

God opens our eyes to see that there is evil in this world. The police and government are placed to protect the people from the forces of evil. However evil manifests itself through people. People behave in certain ways that manifest the works of evil. We cannot see evil just the same way we cannot see God. However we can see the manifestation of the works of evil and the works of God. We cannot see the wind but we can feel it and see it in its manifestation. So also we need the gift of discernment to know the presence of evil. When we discern evil we can bind it and cast it out. This blindness of evil is seen as psychological or physical problems. The real culprit lies behind the manifestation.

Infiltration

Infiltration by demons into our daily lives is a reality. We see this manifestation in the sexualisation of all things and the degradation in society of what once was evil being seen as good. The present move to naturalise transgender issues are an example of this kind of evil infiltrating our daily lives. Many are forced to compromise and welcome what is evil and so become evil. Beware of the insidious infiltration in all walks of life influencing children, families and society at large. We are called to be holy and separate from the world we live in. However the church largely has compromised with evil. It is time to repent and be separate so the world can see the light and salt we are called to be.

Receiving From Heaven And Giving On Earth

God is Spirit and we are created in His image and are spirit beings in an earthly suit. We therefore have the ability to receive from heaven by His Spirit living in us. The Holy Spirit is able to lead and guide us in our earthly walk. Many of us think we have received through our human efforts. What we fail to realise is that God is the giver of all things. We breathe only because He allows it. We are only a breath away from death. Our physical body is just a house  where His Spirit dwells in our spirit. We are eternal beings in our spirit. Therefore we are able to receive from God who is Spirit. Just as Jesus multiplied  bread and fed the multitudes so also we can receive from heaven and multiply what little we have. God multiples as we give away what we have.

This is the principle of heaven. When we give, we don't just receive but we multiply what we give. In this way we are able to meet the needs of others around us. Jesus demonstrated this principle on earth as He looked to His Father for all things. He received in His Spirit and then gave it away in the physical. He multiplied the fish and the bread. He healed the sick. He opened the eyes of the blind. He set the captive free. This same principle works for us. We must receive from heaven through His Spirit and then be a channel of His provision. This is spiritual manna that never dies. It nourishes and flourishes where it is sown. We must receive heavenly manna to provide food that lasts. What is physical is temporary. What is of the Spirit is eternal.

God's resources in heaven are limitless. Yet we compete for the limited resources on earth. How poor we are that we neglect the unseen for the seen. God has already provided for us but we rather work and labour for our daily bread. How different life can be when we look to God as our Provider. When we look to Him we become like Him. This is a shift that occurs when we put our faith in Him and not in what we see. This is what it means to walk by faith and not by sight. We need to see with our eyes of faith to receive from heaven. Once we do, we become like Jesus on earth. Our talk and walk will be like Him. This is how God created us but we have gone our own way and trusted in our own strength. It is time to repent and get back to our calling of living as sons of God.

What Is Eternal Life? Eternal Life Is Jesus

Eternal Life

Jesus said He who believes in me will never die and have eternal life. This is a profound promise that few understand the immense value of it. Many think that eternal life means that we will live forever. This is true but only applies after we die. However Jesus promised eternal life now and not just after we die. The difference is that if we only have eternal life after we die then we don't have that life now. Jesus said we would have eternal life now not after we die. He was talking about our spirit. Our spirit was dead but now is alive in Him. When we receive Jesus as our Lord and Saviour we receive eternal life now.

Holy Spirit

Eternal life is the life of Jesus in us. He comes to dwell in our spirit by His Holy Spirit. Our spirit will never die and will live on after our body dies. We will all die one day and that is a fact. However all of us can live forever in the spirit and never die. This is what Jesus promised to all who will receive Him. Come to the river of life and receive His life. His life is abundant and whatever your circumstance, you will never live in lack. Once we grasp this revelation then we will live life like heaven on earth. This is the abundant life Jesus promised us who believe in Him.

Choose Eternal Life Now

Jesus came to restore us to our original design before the Fall in the garden of Eden. This was planned before He created man in His image. He knew He had to come as a man and die. This is the path He made for us to follow. He created us and now He has restored us because He knew we would fall. He took the responsibility for our sin upon Himself. This is our God who has a solution for every situation and problem. Now He lives His life through us. We are seated in heavenly places with Him now. Why wait till we die when we can enjoy eternal life now?

Intuition Is A Gift Of The Spirit

Intuition

Intuition is a inner knowing that we all have because we were made in the image of God. Most of us ignore this knowing and switch to our mental realm and decide accordingly. Once we are awakened to the spirit realm then we become more conscious of this inner knowing. We will begin to listen more to the inner voice in us guiding and leading us. This is to be led by the Spirit and to walk in the Spirit. I have found this leading to be so helpful in my daily life. It develops an intimacy with the Holy Spirit who wants to lead us and guide us. Listen to your inner voice and see how being led is a more joyful life.

Gifts

God has given us various gifts. These gifts are to help us to face the challenges we are faced with. We need to develop these gifts as we put into practice the gifting. If it is a gift in healing then we must pray for healing till we see more results. The operation of the gifts lead to manifestation. We must actively seek to apply the gifts just as a child learns to ride a bike. If the child gives up because of the falls, he will never learn to ride the bike. So also in our gifts we need to apply them to see the manifestation of the gift.

Implementation

Today let us ask God to reveal the gifts He has given to us and be active in applying them. God has a design and plan for each of us. We are unique in His plan and only we can fulfil His plan for us. It won't happen if we sit back and do nothing. His call is to do as He leads and be His representative on earth. This is how we establish His Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. Our prayers will be answered as we do this in Jesus Name.

Alignment, Assignment, Consignment And Procurement

Alignment

We need to be aligned with the Holy Spirit to know the mind of God. God is Spirit and He communicates with our spirit. Many are not aligned with the Holy Spirit because they are not born again. Only those who are called are able to be aligned with God. There are many who are born again yet walk according to the flesh. This is non alignment with the Holy Spirit. There are many who call themselves Christians but do not believe. It is only believers who are able to be aligned with the Holy Spirit and do much for the Kingdom of God. Sadly the church at large is not in alignment and therefore is saltless and tasteless.

Assignment

Once we are aligned with the Holy Spirit then we are able to know our assignment. Each one of us has an assignment from God to fulfil His Kingdom purpose. Just like a government has many roles for people to play so also the Kingdom of God has many roles for us to partake in. His Kingdom is like a government with many departments. We all have roles to fulfil to enable His Kingdom to be established on earth as it is in heaven. It is only when we catch this vision will we be able to fulfil our mission. Know your assignment and then fulfil your role.

Consignment

Each assignment has a consignment. A consignment is a job to be filled. Just as goods are delivered to fulfil a certain need so also a consignment fulfils a need. It could be food or material for construction. Consignments are necessary to fulfil needs.  God has already dispatched consignments to be filled on earth. We have to be ready to dispatch our forces on earth to complete the consignment. Medical supplies and building materials are examples of consignments. We each need to do our part in building God's Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.

Procurement

Once we complete our consignment we procure the necessary task to complete the assignment. In this way all needs are met. Many are in lack because parts of the body have not taken up their assignment. Many suffer because of this. However God will assign the task to another if one fails to do their part. God is in control and He knows those who will heed His call in this hour. Much are the needs around us but few heed His call. This is not a task for the weak and unbelieving but for the strong and able. Let us today do our part and stand in the gap and pray and do His will.

It Is Impossible To Believe With Your Mind

Believe

Believe is a verb and it means to be actively engaged in something or someone. We many times confuse what we believe in our mind with what is of the Spirit. This confusion arises because we misunderstand that God is Spirit and He speaks to our spirit. We want to understand everything we believe in and in this process stop believing. Faith is a matter of the heart not of the head. We must first believe before we gain understanding. Most of us want to understand before we believe. This then becomes confusing because what we understand with our finite thinking is nothing compared to God's mind. We need to believe in our heart before we receive revelation of what we believe.

Heart

Jesus always addressed matters to do with our heart. He used parables and illustrations to help us understand the things of the Spirit. He knew we were unable to understand because we would interpret everything He taught in physical or material terms. Once we understand that we need to believe and not doubt His words than a whole new world will open up before us. This is the world of the Spirit. Now things become revealed to us which before we did not see. It is as if once we were blind but now we see. This is the 'aha' experience. Suddenly we know what we once did not know. It is a deep knowing that transforms us from a unbeliever to a believer.

Believers

Many call themselves believers but believe with their mind and not with their heart. This is why we have many unbelieving believers. We say we believe but really don't. We have been taught what to believe but this is like intellectual knowledge. The knowledge of the heart is deeper and intimate and transforms lives. This is why one can read the word of God but never be changed. Heart belief leads to an experience that changes our thinking and our minds are renewed. We must believe in our hearts that Jesus is Lord and confess with our mouth that He is risen from the dead to be saved. Romans 10:9.

Do You Have Power Over Sin? If Not, Why Not?

Sin is real and we see the evidence of it all around us. Pride entered the devil and ever since his fall we too have been tarnished by the same brush. We want to go our own way and reject God's way. We think we are made like gods and therefore can behave like God. This power still assails us even after we have been born again in the spirit. In this world we are tempted by many negative forces that work against our spirit. This battle is mainly in our minds when we have to choose whom we will follow. The Spirit or our flesh. The flesh is against the Spirit. We have to make this choice daily in our lives.

Way Of Escape

God has given us a way of escape. He has put His own Spirit within our renewed spirit. He has given us the power over sin. The power of the Spirit can overcome the power of sin. Jesus did this on the Cross and cancelled the power of sin. Once we were helpless and bound by sin. Now through identification with Christ's death on the Cross we are free from its grasp. However God has given us a will and we have the power of choice. We can choose to follow His Spirit or do our own thing. 

Victory

The temptation to do our own thing is how sin lures us to sin. The enemy aids our flesh and so together try and overcome us to sin. However the Holy Spirit is able to help us in our weakness. The more we follow the Holy Spirit the less we will succumb to the temptations of the flesh. We have to cancel all legal rights the enemy may have over us. We have to repent of all sin and forgive all who have sinned against us. In this way we don't give the enemy a foothold to attack us. This is possible and daily I am experiencing the victory I have over sin and the devil. We are at war with the devil and the flesh and this will not stop till we go home to glory. Be bold and never give up the fight to keep the devil out.

Repent, Recover, Restore And Release

Repent is a word that is used in the Bible to turn around from the direction one is going. It is a powerful word that John the Baptist used when he called the people to turn around from their sins and turn to God. This word is still powerful today to stop us from going the way of the world and to turn to God. God always listens to the one who repents. There is no other powerful word to signify a change of heart. I repent and turn to God to save me. This is the only way to recover what we have lost. We continue to sin in thought , word or deed. There are sins of commission and sins of omission. When we repent of them we turn away from their power and God cleanses us from all sin.

Recover

Once we have repented we can now recover what we have lost. The enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy. We recover what he has stolen from us. It maybe finances or relationships that we have lost. Recovery includes all areas where we have been robbed. 

Restore

God will restore to us seven fold what we have lost. He is a generous God and He is able to restore what we have lost and more. This restoration process enables us to move on with our lives. He restores the broken places of our lives. It is like rebuilding what was destroyed. Now we have a new place to start again and build and move forward. This will then release us to a new walk with God.

Release

We are released from our bondages. Our burdens are lifted and we feel free to be. This is the promise to those who repent. Repentance is key to release in all areas of our life. Sin keeps us stuck and burdened. Repentance releases us from our chains so we can walk free. This is the salvation we need in our body and our soul. Our soul is being redeemed and the effects will be experienced in our body. The Spirit of God in us will do the work of leading and guiding us out of our prison into His glory.

Pray In The Spirit. Receive In The Spirit. It Is Done. Period.

 God is Spirit and He communicates with our spirit. However most of us don't operate in the spirit realm because we are led by our own thoughts and feelings. We are more confident to reason and think in our own thoughts and feelings and therefore have not been trained in operating in the spirit. When revelation comes we begin to see the difference between operating in our soul and operating in our spirit. This revelation then leads us to spend more time in the spirit. This shift occurs when we realize that God is Spirit and we need to operate by faith and not by reason. In the spirit we begin to intuit the Father's heart and will. We realize that sometimes God's will is in conflict with our will.

Our Spirit

In the spirit we operate by faith because this is the substance of things not seen. Faith believes before it sees. It sees in the spirit what the Father desires and then moves out in faith to do His will. Jesus only did what He saw His Father doing. We too must see in the spirit and then do what we see. This is a complete shift from the way we used to do things. This dimension of working in the spirit will bring us to new understanding of the things of God. It appears like a foreign language to the mind of man. However we have to make this shift to move in revelation.

Answers

God desires to bless us and not to fault us. He is not a hard task master who is waiting to trip us up. He is a loving Father who wants the best for us. We need to operate in the spirit and we will be transformed in our soul and even our body will respond to this new walk. The Bible teaches us to be filled in the Spirit and to walk by the Spirit. Very few of us do this because this appears to go against reason. God gives a vision which appears impossible yet possible because God gave it. Many will be against the vision but we must stay focused on what is revealed and stay the course. One day the vision will be realized as God is the author. Today let us walk by the Spirit and enjoy the abundant life God promised.

Real Freedom Is Only In The Spirit

God is Spirit and we are spirit beings in an earthly body. We also have a soul that enables us to think, feel and will to do. Our body operates through our senses and keeps us in touch with our environment. We see and hear and so are able to decide on what to do. If we don't see and hear than we will be blind and deaf to our environment. We keep in touch with all around us through our senses. When we come alive in the Spirit we become aware of the spirit world. There are evil spirits that try to control us but God's Spirit is greater than any evil spirit. This world is controlled by the god of this world and so evil is at work in this world. We who are born again in the spirit now have to choose who we will follow. We can follow the spirit of the world or the Spirit of God.

Before we were born again in the spirit we walked according to our flesh. We thought and worked like the world. We did not know anything better. Now we are born again our eyes have been opened to the spirit world where God is. God is Spirit and Truth. We know what is truth through His written word. We now are able to discern what is God's will and walk according to it. We can only do this in the Spirit who gives us the will to do. Before this we struggled in the flesh to do what was right. Now we are free from the power of sin to do what is right. This is what Christ did when He died on the Cross for our sin. He freed us from the power of sin.

In the Spirit we can hear what the Father is saying and doing. We can commune with Him who is spirit. We now can choose freely to obey Him. However we have also the choice to disobey. We will reap death if we disobey but righteousness when we obey. The more we walk in the Spirit the more we will become like Him. This is His promise. His promise is that we be made into the image of His Son. Jesus came to show us the way to eternal life. In the Spirit we can overcome and be over comers. What a privilege and responsibility we have to walk like Jesus on earth. Be filled in the Spirit today and let's us walk in real freedom.

Live In Habitation, Not In Limitation.

Most of us go about living our lives from day to day without a sense of purpose. We are so taken up by the daily issues of life that we don't have time to think about what life is all about. It sometimes feels like life is a survival exercise. However this is not how God had planned it. He wants us to enjoy life and not be limited by our circumstances. He has given us a way of escape from this world of trauma and wickedness. The god of this world keeps us limited in our thinking and keeps us always in need. Lack and the fear of lack keeps  us always in debt rather than in credit. The institutions and governments reinforce this message of lack and disorder. This kind of thinking has led to the chaos and lack we see in the society we live in.

What is the alternative to this kind of limitation? God came to establish His Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. His Kingdom is one of abundance. There is no lack in His Kingdom. Everyone has plenty and more to give and there is no lack. This is a Kingdom of righteousness, peace and joy. There is no injustice and everyone loves his brother. This is the place where God dwells and it is called habitation. This is a Kingdom within a person which then influences and builds around the person. This is how the Kingdom of God is established on earth as it is in heaven.

I choose to make my life a habitation for God. The Holy Spirit dwells within me and leads me and guides me. In this world there are many challenges but I am at rest because I live in habitation. This is how we can influence our surroundings. Governments pass laws that control people. However a man is not controlled by laws but by the Spirit within a man. No amount of external control can upset me for I am free within me. True freedom is not what others give me but what I am. Jesus was persecuted but He was free because He is the great I AM. No government or force could control Him. He chose freely to die because He was free to do so. He willingly sacrificed His life for us that we maybe free. Now choose today to live in the abundance He has purchased for us. Choose to be free.

The Church Must Be Involved In Spiritual Warfare and Not Just Social Welfare

 

The church is primarily called to win the lost who are spiritually dead. Jesus’ commission is that we go to all nations and preach the gospel. He instituted this command before He ascended to heaven. He came to reverse the damage that the devil caused in the world and He did this by His death on the Cross. This message has been preached and many have been saved from eternal damnation. However most of the world are still blind to this message and continue to walk in blindness. The devil has blinded the eyes of all and only the blood of Jesus can save. We who have been saved must now wage war against the forces of evil and bring many to the knowledge of His salvation. We must pray that blind eyes be opened.

 

This kind cannot be saved through good works. Many are involved in good works which is not a bad thing. However no man can come to know Him through good works. The Bible says that our good works are as good as filthy rags. It is only by faith in God and His Son Jesus that men can be saved. This is a spiritual work and only God can open blind eyes. This is why we cannot wage war with guns and force but through love and spiritual warfare.  We have to pray and take authority over the principalities and powers in high places that rule over lives and places. Only the spiritual can do this. We need to see in the Holy Spirit and war in the spirit.

 

Spiritual warfare is not something for the fainthearted. We must believe that there is a evil kingdom that is against God's Kingdom. One is a kingdom of darkness and the other a Kingdom of light. Many walk in darkness and so cannot see. We who are spiritually aware need to lead the blind out of darkness. When we pray we participate in liberating the captives from this blindness. The only way this war can be won is through prayer. Jesus prayed much for His disciples that they may not be deceived by the evil one. This darkness is present today and we must pray that many will repent and turn from their wicked ways and be healed.
