The Battles In Our Mind Disappear In His Presence

Our mind is the centre of our operations. We think through situations and problems and come to a solution. We are not animals that just react by their senses. We sense and then process it and decide if it is good or bad. Most of the time we decide to do the right thing. However many times we choose to do the wrong thing. This is what Paul describes in Romans 7 where he wants to do the right but ends up choosing the wrong. His solution was to move to the anointing in Romans 8. In Christ there is no condemnation and the case is closed. We are now free to choose what is right and to do it. However many still operate in Romans 7 and continue to battle in their minds.

Escape

God has provided a way of escape. In His presence  there is peace and joy. None of the mind battles appear to matter any more. They disappear in His presence. The way into His presence is to meditate on His word and pray in the Holy Spirit. His word enters our mind and dispels all conflict and addictions of the mind. Many are held captive by obsessive thoughts that control them and there appears to be no way of escape. Demonic infiltration further compounds the problem. The devil plays games in our mind and we believe him rather than the word of God. God says that He has not given us a spirit of fear but of love, power and a sound mind.

Partnership

We have now to partner with the Holy Spirit and walk in obedience to His word. His word divides between soul and spirit. His word is the sword of the spirit that is able to deliver us from our battles. His word is power and the word of His power will obliterate every attack of the enemy. The enemy will make you feel guilty and make you own his thoughts. He sows thoughts into your mind and then makes you own it. We need to discern the enemy's tactics and not give in to him. We need to distance those negative thoughts and delete them from our mind. The Holy Spirit will provide the strategy required to do this. I find it helpful to distance myself from anything or person that will take the place of Jesus in my mind. My only attachment should be with Jesus. This is what will cause the separation from the world and all that will come against us.

Resurrection Power Is Experienced When I Experience Death To Self

Jesus rose from the dead. He died first before He rose. This is resurrection power. The Holy Spirit was at work all through His life even to His resurrection and Ascension. We too must live a life of death to self to experience His resurrection power. When we are weak He is strong. His power is released in weakness. We don't need His power when we can operate in our own strength. I have experienced His resurrection power when I have called for His strength. This applies in all areas of life. He comes when we are weak to strengthen us through His resurrection power. His death was a lifestyle He lived before He was crucified. We too are called to die to self and live in His strength.

Self Power

This is not an easy journey for most of us who have grown up to be self sufficient. In the world we are trained to be independent and to be strong. This is good in some ways but maybe a hindrance when we need to rely on the Lord. He desires for us to walk in His strength. He said He would carry our burdens but we prefer to do it our way. Letting go and letting God is not easy. We need to retrain our way when we come to the Lord. His ways are the best way to walk. He has sent His Holy Spirit to help us in our walk. We have access to supernatural power to meet all our needs. 

Resurrection Power

Operating in resurrection power is the way to live an abundant life on earth. This is the heavenly life on earth. We pray thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven but never realise this. Why? I believe it is because we prefer to walk in our own way and strength. We prefer to ask the Lord to bless our work rather than do what He wants us to do. We pray to do His will but then do our own will. Pride keeps us locked in our own prison. God has so much more for us but we are happy with our little. We need resurrection power to live a heavenly life on earth. I desire this more than anything else.

When The Holy Spirit Comes Forth, The Flesh Recedes.

The Holy Spirit resides in our spirit in born again believers. He comes to help us in our daily walk. However many of us do not consult Him or allow Him to lead us. He is waiting to be asked but we rather walk in our own way. Many of us want God to bless what we choose to do rather than wait to be led by the Holy Spirit. One is a walk by the flesh and the other a walk by the Holy Spirit. This is why we need to be baptised in the Holy Spirit to be led by Him. Even then we can still choose to walk by the flesh. This is the dilemma that many believers face and the only way out is to allow the Holy Spirit to lead us.

Holy Spirit Led

To be led by the Holy Spirit is peace and light. When we walk in the light as He is in the light we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin. This is why there is a war down here to distract us from a walk by the Holy Spirit to compromise with the world. We see this increasingly in our world where the church has largely given in to worldly pressure to conform. Those who stand for righteousness get labelled as bigots. The spirit of worldliness has penetrated the church and has to be exorcised. The only way out is to allow the Holy Spirit to take over our life.

Revival

It takes only one person alight in the Holy Spirit to move a generation. What will happen when more of us decide to allow the Holy Spirit to lead us each day? A tsunami wave of change will sweep a nation and many generations will be affected. This is what we need to see in this generation. It took two decades of prayer to change Roe vs Wade and start a movement to change history. As more engage in the Holy Spirit His glory will descend on earth and sweep across the globe as never before. I want to be part of this great move of God. Will you?

Mind Transformation Is The Only Way To Be Transformed Into Jesus Image

The Bible states that we should be transformed by the renewal of our minds. Our mind is part of our soul or psyche. Our mind has been trained by the world to think and perceive in worldly ways. This worldly mind needs to be transformed to think like Jesus. The word of God and Jesus are the same. So when we read and understand His word we get transformed. God's word is living and powerful to separate our spirit from our soul. It is able to discern good from evil. What is seen outwardly could be a copy of the real. To discern the spirit behind the cover requires spiritual insight. Many are deceived by the external rites and rituals of religion. Religion has deceived many to believe the lie rather than the truth. 

Mind Transformation

Mind transformation is the only way to become heavenly minded. This is the key to walking in victory on earth. However there is a cost. Truth will always be challenged by lies. When you stand for truth you will face opposition. This is good for this is a sign that you are standing against the powers of darkness. Many suffer for standing for the truth. In this world that revolves around lies, truth is a rare concept. We have become so used to lies that it has become part of our persona. Some people get away by saying it is white lies or being social and nice. Jesus confronted the Pharisees of His day by calling them white washed sepulchres!

Truth

Truth is essential in these days to stand against the forces of evil. Evil has penetrated our psyche that we believe it. We need transformation of our minds. Jesus is the truth and His word is the truth. When we believe this we become transformed into His image. His image is the original personality of creation. When we talk and walk like Jesus we become His light bearers in a dark world. We need to walk in revelational knowledge. This is knowledge we receive through the Spirit from heaven. This is our daily manna to keep us walking in the light. The light of His presence enfolds us and keeps us from all harm and danger. Let us be transformed and be the source of hope in this fallen world.

The Beautiful Exchange

Old Nature

Our nature is fallen and cannot be changed. We were born in sin and condemned to death. However Jesus died so that we can be delivered from sin. He came to give us His nature in exchange. This is the great salvation we have in Him. He restored us to the original design before sin entered man. What a beautiful exchange this is and no amount of work can replicate this. We try to be good but God says our good work is like filthy rags. His righteousness is through His shed blood on the Cross. He paid the price for you and for me. 

New Nature

God's nature is His personality. Jesus demonstrated this to us on earth. He came as the son of man and was anointed in the Spirit. He showed us how we too can be anointed in the Spirit and walk like He did. He gave us His Holy Spirit to dwell in us to help us in our walk. This means that our old nature needs to die so the new can come forth. The new nature is Jesus nature and will shine through us. We are the replica of Him on earth. Now when we walk in the light as He is in the light we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin. Our personality is transformed into His image.

Beautiful Exchange

What a beautiful exchange is this and too profound to comprehend. Yet this is what God had planned from the beginning. Now we are being prepared for rulership in the world to come. Our training begins now on earth and we can do this only through His Holy Spirit in us. This is why we must let go of all things that will hinder us in this walk in the Spirit. Let us begin today to shine for Jesus wherever we maybe.

When You See Into The Unseen, Things Become Tangible.

Faith

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. What is seen is self evident. What is unseen requires faith to see. Once we are able to see beyond the seen, we become like God. God sees into the unseen realm because He is the invisible, transcendent being who resides in the heavenlies. Yet He has made Himself known to us through His Son, Jesus. God saw into the unseen realm and gave birth to His Son on earth. There are many things we do not see at present but one day they become evident. God knew us before we were formed in our mother's womb. 

Spiritual Eyes

Seeing into the unseen realm requires faith. Yet faith is that intangible way that many of us find difficult to comprehend with our physical eyes. We need spiritual eyes to see into the realm of the unseen. This is possible only when God opens our eyes to see. Many think they see but are blind. We can deceive ourselves by saying we see but don't. This is the deception that many fall into because we are blinded by the god of this world. This blindness keeps us bound to the earthly realm of sight. To go go beyond the earthly realm requires faith. Yet God has given us enough faith to believe. 

Jesus

This is a mystery how many are called but few are chosen. God desires that all be saved but few are saved. This is because of blindness. Spiritual blindness results in only being able to operate in the seen realm. Faith takes us to a different realm. So many are deceived by believing in things that has nothing to do with God. God has made a way through Jesus. He said He is the only way to the Father. When we believe this we begin to see. This sight then leads us to walk through the door into the other realm where Jesus is. We now have access to all of heavens riches.

Spirit Filled, Spirit Led And Spirit Targeted.

Spirit Filled

God sent His Holy Spirit to fill us so that we would not be on our own. Jesus mission on earth was completed after He ascended to heaven to sit at the right hand of His Father. He said He had to go so that He could send the Holy Spirit to help us on our journey on earth. His Holy Spirit came at Pentecost as promised and filled those waiting and manifested in speaking in tongues or other languages. Those witnessing this event saw and heard fire and sound as evidence of the in filling. So also today we need to be filled with His Spirit to function in the Spirit.

Spirit Led

Now the Holy Spirit will lead us in our daily walk. Jesus was led by the Spirit. He only did what He saw and heard His Father doing. This was possible not because He was the Son of God but the son of man anointed in the Spirit. Jesus was full of the Spirit. We too need to be full of the Spirit to do what Jesus did. Jesus said that we would do more than what He did. This is only possible through the anointing in the Spirit. To be led by the Spirit is to not walk by sight but by faith. This is an inner knowing which some call intuition. I felt led to hand a tract recently to someone who repaired my watch strap. He later rang me and we are in fellowship now.

Spirit Targeted

The Spirit targets certain people and situations for a purpose. We may think it is a coincidence but in God there is no coincidence. He directs our steps and we walk accordingly. Life takes on a totally new dimension when we walk in the Spirit. He gives us strategies to solve impossible problems. He opens the eyes of the blind when we speak the now word to them. Heaven comes down and we begin to know what it is to live a heavenly life on earth. Chance  encounters turn out to be supernatural events. What appeared to be a negative situation turns out to be an encounter made in heaven. How exciting to live a Spirit led life.

Spiritual Blindness Is Caused By Believing In Lies

Spiritual Blindness

Spiritual blindness is a condition just like sin is a condition. Due to blindness people cannot believe that there is a God who loves us. This blindness is due to believing in lies propagated by the god of this world. The devil is against God and his main mission is to take as many as possible to hell with him. Therefore we see all kinds of lies being perpetrated through media and other sources to lead us into blindness. We are blind because the lies keep us from believing. Once we are healed we become like the blind man who proclaimed sight after being healed. The blinkers were lifted and he could see clearly.

Soul Blindness

Spiritual blindness can only be lifted through believing in Jesus. Many confuse psychological blindness with spirit blindness. Many ministries focus on soul blindness. Soul blindness is to do with our psyche. Our soul is to do with our thinking, feeling and will. Our spirit was dead through the Fall. This is why Jesus had to come to reverse the curse of sin so we might be saved from blindness. To see in the spirit is to be born again. Just like the caterpillar becomes a butterfly so is the experience of being born again. We see the world from God's perspective.

Salvation

When we become sighted we see and behold the beauty of all creation. God becomes real and we begin our journey into wholeness. Through His Spirit in us we become renewed to fulfil His plan for our life. God's plans for our life is being thwarted by the devil and so we need discernment to know what is good and what is evil. Evil many times can present as good but the spirit behind it is evil. Let us walk in the light as He is in the light. In Him all is light and there is no darkness. His light shines to dispel the darkness. Lord open our eyes to see and believe and be set free.

Only In The Spirit Can We Live An Abundant Life

Spirit

God is Spirit and he created us as spirit beings. We live in our body and have a soul. Our soul thinks, feels and decides. Our spirit was dead and through the born again experience was redeemed and is alive. Our soul is being redeemed. Our body will one day die and return to the dust. When Jesus said that we would have life and that abundant, He was referring to our spirit that was redeemed through His death and resurrection. Our spirit will return to Him when we die and we will sit with Him in heaven. In fact we are already seated with Him in heaven now but the full realisation will come after we die.

Soul

Our soul is being redeemed. We are still dealing with issues in our soul. This is why we need to be transformed in our minds to think and feel like Jesus. This transformation is a process. Many are unaware of this and therefore when conflicted feel guilty and blame themselves. Many are the struggles in the soul and many fall because they give up the fight. The Holy Spirit who resides in us can help us in our weakness. He can make the crooked places straight and turn the hurt into healing. Salvation is for the whole person and not just for the spirit. When we experience His salvation in our soul and body, this becomes a sign and a wonder.

Abundant Living

Today we can live an abundant life in the spirit. His abundant life resides in us. Streams of living water flows through us. We need to tap into this stream and not be distracted by the enemy of our soul. Demons get attached to hurt and unforgiveness. They have no place in our soul. We need to deal with them as if they are our enemy and rout them out through the blood and Name of Jesus. This is the only way we can progress in our Christian life. Our weakness will be turned into strength. Do not hide your weakness but turn it into a strength through the Spirit.

Sin Is A Condition And Not An Act.

Sin

Sin is not a word that is talked about much these days. The concept of sin has negative connotations and in this world of compromise is seen as a stigma. However sin is real and we can see the consequences of sin all around us. Most of us confuse sin as a condition with the acts of sin. We condemn others because of their sinful behaviours. Sin has been defined as rebellion or anything that proclaims itself above God. This happened in the garden of Eden when Eve decided to listen to the voice of Satan and gave into the temptation to eat of the fruit of good and evil. Today we too relish in eating from the tree of good and evil and therefore bring a curse upon ourselves.

Spiritual Condition

Sin is a spiritual condition. We were all born in sin and need redemption. God planned this from the beginning that He would redeem man from his sinful sate. He did this by sending His Son Jesus to be the sacrifice for sin. His blood was shed and now works through His resurrection to redeem us from our sinful state. His blood is powerful to redeem because it continues to work as if it is alive and powerful to cleanse all sin. This is the Good News of the gospel. God made a way where there was no way, for man to return to God in a sinless state. His blood cleanses us from all sin.

Solution

This is the power that now works in us to continue to redeem our soul from this wicked world. We are all prone to sin even though our spirit has been redeemed. However we have a way of escape through His blood. This blood sacrifice is eternal and works in us an eternal work of salvation. His blood is enough to cleanse the vilest sinner who comes to Him to be saved. This is a spiritual transaction. No man can buy his salvation for it by grace through faith that we are saved. Come today and be saved from sin and be made whole in Jesus Name.

Word Alignment Leads To World Alignment

Word

In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. Jesus is the word and His word and Him are one. Therefore when we align with His word we become one with Him and He one with us. He said abide in me and I will abide in you. He and the Father are one. The Holy Spirit dwells within us and makes us one with Him. Jesus prayer was that we would be one as He and His Father were one. This is the kind of unity we have in the Spirit. It is this unity in the Spirit that will enable us to turn the world around from its present state of chaos and disruption. All we see around us is a result of man going his own way and trying to control the planet. 

Jesus

God has made a way out for us. He sent His Son, Jesus, to reverse the course of sin. He cancelled the power of sin and redeemed man from being a slave to being a son. This is the kind of revolution we need to save the world from its self destructive path. All we see around us is death and destruction. We think we are progressive but in the name of progress we have surrendered our lives to the evil one. Evil in its many forms is infiltrating every section of our lives. We are under the control of the god of this world and he is hell bent on our destruction. The only way out is to be transformed by His living word.

Solution

His word is a light that will shine in our present darkness. In the midst of all the lies we have His word to guide us. His Spirit will empower His word and bring about the transformation we need. We will never be able to improve ourselves as we are bound by sin. We can dress up sin in nice ways but underneath the rot continues. Sin is like rotten eggs, it poisons the soul. The egg needs to be saved to become whole. The born again experience is a renewal of the spirit by the Holy Spirit. This will cause us to align ourselves with His word and bring about the alignment of the world. There is no other way by which man can be saved. The whole world is waiting for the revelation of the sons of God. This revelation will change the world.

Knowing God's Will And Doing It

Prayer

We pray many times that God's will be done. However this prayer maybe a cop out of knowing what God's will is! Knowing His will means we must know His mind on a certain matter. Is it God's will to heal? If the answer is yes then we must pray accordingly and see His will being manifested in healing. This will lead to a different kind of prayer to the one where we hope we get the right answer. One is a prayer by random and the other a prayer by target. Random prayers result in random answers. Targeted prayers result in targeted answers.

Answers

God has provided answers through His word. We can know His will through His written word and His Spirit. His Spirit opens up His word and reveals His mind to us. Just reading the word may not give us understanding of His word and will. To know His will is to know the mind of God. Jesus always consulted with His Father and only did what He saw and heard His Father doing. We can hear and see too if we seek His ways and not our way. Many times we are comfortable in doing things our way and only consult God when we are in trouble. God wants to partner with us and not just be a teller machine.

Attitude

We must begin to demand that our prayers be answered. We can only do this when we know God's will. God's will is that we preach the Good news, heal the sick and bring deliverance to the captive. There are no ifs about this. When we know His will we can pray aggressive prayers that will bring answers from His glory in heaven. God has only answers and not questions. All His questions were answered on the Cross when He cancelled the power of sin and the devil. We now have access to all the riches in glory through Jesus. This is what Jesus came to do through His death and resurrection. Now it is up to us to implement His will on earth and pull the answers down.

Truth Is Divisive. Yet Truth In Jesus Unites.

Truth

Truth has always been under attack. When Jesus faced Pilate He said "I am the Truth". Pilate responded by asking "what is truth"? So also today amid the plethora of fake news, truth is buried under it. Truth is in a person and His name is Jesus. Jesus came to reveal the truth and so He could say I am the truth. No one believed Him when He came and the same condition prevails today. We seek the truth but never seem to accept what is revealed. We keep searching for the truth though our finite mind. Truth appears to us but we ignore it to our peril. What is truth is ignored and we create truth in our own imagination. God revealed Himself to the nation of Israel but they chose to build an image of God to worship.

Fake

Man today too is building images to worship. God said you will have no images to worship. In direct rebellion we continue to build images of wealth, race, sex and other images that satisfy our own fallen desires. We worship the creation rather than the Creator. Truth therefore is ignored and is replaced by images of the truth. An image is not the original. It is just an image. Just like an idol of God is not God. Why do we do this? Man wants to be in control of his own destiny. We reject God and His ways because we were born in sin and continue to sin. There is only one way of escape and that is through Jesus.

Jesus

Man tries to calm his conscience through alternative ways but God has provided a way of escape. Those who find Him know He is the truth. There is no other way to please God but through His Son. Jesus was sent to deliver us from our sad state. However we choose to look to other ways of salvation. This is why many are called but few are chosen. Judas was called but not chosen. He allowed Satan to infiltrate his soul and betray His Saviour. We all could be a Judas if we 

do not hold on to His way to the end. Once saved always saved is a lie. The ten virgins all came prepared but only five went through because they were prepared and waiting till the end. Let us also pursue till the end and not lose heart and give up.

Your Tongue Is The Most Powerful Force On Earth

Tongue

God spoke and He created the world's. God has given man the same authority to create through his tongue. However through the Fall a curse came upon all creation. Now man has the power to bless or to curse. What we see in the world is the power of curses. Our tongue has been used by Satan to steal, kill and destroy. All the news broadcasts is news of the destructive power of the tongue. Man is constantly putting down his neighbour to profit. The agenda of media everywhere is to divide and rule. From governments to corporations to families the same applies. Our tongue is a great force and none can tame it.

Unity

God confused man with dividing tongues at the Tower of Babel. This was because man was getting too powerful as they were united in their one tongue. At Pentecost God touched our tongue and united us in the Spirit. God is in the business of unity and He gave us a way of escape. A man who can control his tongue can control his body. Like a rudder on a ship this small organ controls the whole body. Isaiah prayed that God with touch his tongue with coal of fire to cleanse it. Men have tried to cut off their tongue to stop it defiling them. Mutilating the body is man's way of trying to control his body. However God's way is through His Spirit.

Spirit

We need to surrender our tongue to God to help us speak His word. In the Spirit we can overcome all things. We can speak health to our body and our relationships. We can overcome battles that have been fought by just one word from the Spirit. Jesus spoke the healing word and the centurion's servant was healed at a distance. So powerful are words to transcend time and distance. So also our prayers in the Spirit have power to reverse the destructive forces on earth. We can bring heaven to earth through our anointed words. Today let us watch our words for they are a force to curse or to bless, to heal or to wound.

Walking In The Limitless Power Of God

God

God is all powerful and is the Creator and we are His creation. We think we have a lot of power but this power is matchless compared to God's power. He spoke and the world was created. All that we see was created by Him through His spoken word. Imagine how powerful were His words. Nothing could stand in the way of His word. We too can speak and see things change. This is why God has commanded us to be careful of what we say. Our words have the power to bless or to curse. What we hear around us can break us or build us up. In the world we hear a lot of negative words because the god of this world is Satan. Only we have authority on earth to reverse the words of the devil.

Words

God reversed our words at Pentecost. He gave us a new tongue. This is the tongue of the Spirit. When we pray in tongues we release God's power on earth as it is in heaven. We receive revelation in our mind of what God is thinking and saying. In this way we are able to think and speak like God. When we speak from the Spirit, we speak like God. This is how Jesus spoke. He had the authority of heaven behind Him when He spoke. Sickness and disease had to go as He spoke. The limitless power of God was behind His words. We too can do the same.

Authority

We can shift atmospheres as we speak from the Spirit. We have the tools to operate in the Spirit. We cannot move an inch without the power of God. In our own strength we will move a bit but in God's strength we will move mountains. God's limitless power is available to us when we come to the end of our power. This is why we need to operate in the Spirit to see the world turned upside down. The disciples were known to have done this and we can do the same. The same resurrection power is available to us who believe. Come let us walk in the resurrection power of Jesus and be done with walking in our own power.

Faith Is Clear Eyesight

Faith

Faith is trusting in what is unseen and believing what is impossible is possible. Those who come to God must believe that He is. No one can come to God without faith. There is an unseen world we can tap into if only we believe. However our mind will resist believing because it wants to see. As long as we want to see before we believe, will not enable us to walk by faith. The Israelites wanted to make God into an image that they could see to worship. God is not an image. We are an image of God. We have the faith to believe because we were created in His image. Now we need to trust Him to respond to our faith.

Eyesight

Faith is the ability to see beyond the physical. Abraham believed God and saw. We must believe before we can see. This is the challenge we face in our daily walk. Will we walk by faith or by sight? Thomas said he would believe once he saw Jesus alive from the dead. Jesus asked him do you now believe? Many have seen Him but then stop believing. We need spiritual eyes to see and believe. This is why faith is seeing beyond the seen realm. In our physical realm we can see and so believe. God operates in the unseen realm and so we need to believe to see.

Blindness

Spiritual blindness is real. This is why we need to pray that the blindness that clouds the eyes of the lost will be opened to see. Like the blind man in the Bible, sight will be restored. Many who opposed God now see and believe. Paul was blinded by his spiritual encounter but then saw once the scales dropped off. All that is seen will one day pass away but the word of God will remain. God is calling us today to trust Him and walk by faith and He will meet all our needs from His riches in heaven. The only way we can do this, is by faith.

Selfishness Produces Weeds. Love Produces Fruit.

Selfishness

God's answer to selfishness is love. We were born in sin and therefore  all we were concerned about was me, myself and I. We could not see beyond ourself because we were blind. Some of us have some awareness of this and try to move from the "I" position to the "We" position. However this takes a lot of energy and work to think of others when our primary needs are unmet. Most of us have gone through difficulties in our growing up years. These maybe from our parents, siblings or others. Trauma causes us to go into defensive living. We protect ourselves from getting abused and used. This is a common experience and many suffer from anxiety and depression due to this. However God has made a way of escape.

Answer

God knew we were helpless and could not save ourselves. He provided the answer through Jesus. He reversed the curse of sin and brought us into the light of His presence. He opened our eyes to see and experience the love of the Father. This love healed our wounds and brought us to a place of trust. We began to trust God to meet our needs. We moved from a focus on I to a focus on God and others. This shift brought about a change in our perceptions. We began to realise that there is more to living than just looking after our own needs. God gave His only begotten Son to die for us. This demonstrated God's love for us. 

Faith

Now we began the journey from a self centred life to a God centred life. We moved from a position of living according to the law, to living by faith. This is a shift that enables us to tap into the supernatural power of God to meet our needs. We did not rely on our own resources but looked to God's supernatural resources in heaven. This shift has caused us to love others as we love ourselves. God did it for us and will continue to work through us. We see the fruit of the lives that have committed their lives to God. I am no where the man I was because of His great love. Without Him I am nothing. With Him I have a purpose and meaning for living life to the full. I am called to serve others and this is my joy and blessing.

All That We Lost Through The Fall Was Reversed At Calvary

Fall

When Adam and Eve fell in the garden of Eden all creation was affected by the Fall. Now we can blame them for what happened but the same might have happened to us when tempted by the devil. God had provided a way of escape but the temptation was too great to prevent them from eating of the tree of good and evil. Jesus was slain before the foundation of the world and came to fulfil this plan on earth. The devil thought he had won but God reversed the curse on the Cross. Few of us appreciate this great reversal. We continue to live as if we are still bound. God set us free from the curse two thousand years ago. Yet we continue to choose to eat from the tree of good and evil.

Calvary

At Calvary all my sins were cancelled. All my diseases were healed. I was restored to my original sate. The Bible says we are a new creation in Him. The old is past and the new has come. This is the revelation we need to live that abundant life here on earth. We will continue to face temptation but God has provided a way of escape. Eat from the tree of life and live. The tree of life is Jesus.  We are grafted into Him and now we can live through Him. There is no other way to live His life on earth but through His Spirit who lives in us. What a wonderful plan of redemption.

Salvation

When we partake of the communion remember the work on the Cross. This reversed all that was stolen from us. Now it is up to us to draw from the river of life and be made whole. There is no other healing balm available but through this sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross. The devil was defeated once and for all and he is destined for hell fire. He knows it and we have to remind him of this. Till Jesus returns we have to reclaim all that was lost and restore His Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. This is our assignment and calling wherever we maybe. Let us join hands and proclaim this victory for all to hear and be saved.

God Has Forgiven And Forgotten Our Past

Past

God is so good that He does not harbour any ill feelings towards us. He is so large and can deal with any offence made against Him. His love is immeasurable and can absorb all the evil in the world. This is what He did when He sent Jesus to die on the Cross for the sins of the world. In one event He cancelled the sins of the world. This is how big our God is. He remembers our sins no more. Yet we continue to live as if our sins are not forgiven. We carry the burdens of our sinful past as if they are still present. What a sorry state this is!

Present

We must now forgive ourselves and forget our past. This is easily said then done. We are reminded each day of our failures and weaknesses. The devil will remind us of our sinful past. However God has a different word and His word is final. He says take my yoke for it is easy and light. Burdens are lifted at Calvary. Yet we prefer to carry our own burdens than let it go. Many are laden with heavy burdens. God is calling us to let go and let Him carry our burdens.

Future

By faith we can come to Him and let go of our burdens. We must daily repent of any sins committed and let them go. This is the only way to live an abundant life. God's word is truth and He does not lie. We must believe His word and not the opinions of man. This is the only way to walk in victory. Today let go of your burdens and enjoy the freedom of life in Spirit.

Pray The Answer And Not The Problem.

Prayer

Most times we go into prayer when we have a need. Our prayers are mainly to request God to supply a need. We hardly pray when we don't have a need. However this is not what prayer is about. God made us to have fellowship with Him. He is not a vending machine where He supplies what we want. We turn to God as if He is waiting to meet all our needs. When prayer is seen as the highest form of intimacy with God, it brings about a change in our relationship with Him. God is not treated as a thing but a person. He is our Heavenly Father in heaven who created us for this one purpose, to have fellowship with Him.

Jesus

Jesus always was in communion with His Father. He only did what He heard and saw His Father doing. This means that He walked in close communion with Him. We too are called to have a similar relationship with Him. In this relationship all our needs are met even without asking, for He knows what we need even before we ask Him. We can rest knowing that He is our Provider and Healer. All our needs are met in Him. Jesus accomplished this on the Cross when He said " It is finished". He purchased all that was robbed from us through the Fall. Now we can enjoy the fellowship that Adam and Eve had before the Fall.

Fellowship

Prayer now becomes a fellowship where God answers and we grow in intimacy with Him. This is the most powerful relationship we can have on earth. Imagine the Trinity dwelling within us. His Holy Spirit dwells in our spirit and we can call Him Abba Father. We now are His representatives on earth connecting earth with heaven. We become His light bearers in a fallen world. Nothing can harm us as His light surrounds us. All disease and disorder will have to bow to the Name of Jesus. We become His answer to a fallen and sick world

What Is Of The Spirit Is Permanent

Spirit

God created us spirit, soul and body (1 Thess 5:23). However few of us are aware of this and so fail to invest in our spirit. Our spirit was dead through the Fall but born again through the Holy Spirit when we received Jesus as our Lord and Saviour. This new birth experience in the spirit opened our eyes to see into the spirit world. We were once blind but now we see. Most people are dead in the spirit and what they think is spirit is their soul. The soul mimics the things of the spirit. We were made in the image of God and therefore will search for ways to connect with Him. However most will be led to search in wrong places and therefore create idols to worship. This is what has led to many man made religions around the world. Man was left to create a god of his own making. 

Soul

The soul is made up of our thoughts, feelings and will. Most people are aware of their thoughts and feelings but yet unable to control them. We are influenced by the things around us and so distracted from the real thing. We desire to be in control and anything that takes this away from us unsettles us. We become controlling of others just to stay in control. We become violent to control others. Most of our dealings with others are from our soul. Manipulation and control is seen everywhere. We feel secure when we are in control. However many fall into desperate times for one can never by happy by controlling others. Fear sets in for you don't know how long you can control others. Dictators are made like this and fall on their sword.

Faith

God desires us to trust Him and walk by faith. He has provided us a way of escape in the spirit. His word and Spirit work together to transform us into His image. Being transformed into His image is a work of His Spirit in us. We cannot do anything to change us but to trust Him. He who began a work in us will complete it. He is the author and finisher of our faith. The work He does in us is permanent. What is of the soul is temporary. Therefore let us walk by the Spirit and make a permanent home for Him to dwell in us. What we build will be tested and only that which is of the Spirit will last.

Till The Soil Of Your Soul Till It Is Made Whole.

Soul

Our soul is that part of our being that is made up of our thoughts, feelings and will. Our spirit was redeemed when we were born again of the Holy Spirit. Our soul and body continue to be prone to sin. Our soul is being redeemed though the renewing of our mind. Our body is also affected by this renewal. Therefore our soul needs to be renewed to manifest our new nature in the spirit. We are a new creation but manifestation is hindered by our soul which still operates under the influence of the old nature. Many are deceived thinking they are well now that they re born again. No wonder we do not see a difference in behaviour in the church and the world. The missing factor is the need to till our soul.

Tilling

Tilling our soul is to change our thinking to conform with the word of God. When our mind is renewed then our feelings will also be renewed. The word of God is our template for renewal. We need the word of God and the Spirit to bring about change in our soul. This is to work out our salvation. Our position in Christ is established but now our relationship with Him must grow. A child needs milk and as the child grows needs meat to grow. So also we need to grow in our relationship with the Spirit to be like Jesus. 

Spirit

In the Spirit we have all things we need to live a holy life. Living in the Spirit is to walk by faith. We can tap into the resources in heaven through His Spirit in us. God will reveal His thoughts to us and we get renewed through this process. This is the only way we can experience the resurrection power of Jesus. There is no other way to transformation. Our soul needs to experience death to experience life. We must die to our old self and be renewed in the new. This is the goal of our salvation. Let us today walk in the Spirit and be renewed to be like Jesus.

Sow In The Spirit, Reap From The Spirit

Spirit Beings

God created us as a spirit being but few of us sow into the spirit. We are so accustomed to walk in the flesh that we have no consciousness of our spirit. God is Spirit and He communicates with us through His Spirit to our spirit. Most teachers only teach from their soul and so our spirit is malnourished in the things of God. This sorry state is what we see in the church today. Man keeps seeking for things spiritual and because of blindness tap into the demonic realms. This is the danger in delving into other religious or New  age teachings. They promise much but little is delivered. Instead they trap us into the occult and so we see the evidence of this in art, theatre and media. 

Truth

There is only one truth and that is in Jesus. He said that "No man can come to the Father God but through Me". This is the truth. Now we can accept it and receive salvation or reject it and be dammed. There are only two options in the spirit world. One is the heavenly and the other is the demonic. This is the reality and this is what Jesus came to reveal to us. Because of spiritual blindness we are attracted by spiritual persuasions as our hearts yearn to know the truth. Once we see, we become new in the Spirit. I  once was blind but now I see is so true. Yet this path is just the beginning of the journey to wholeness.

Heavenly Life

Our soul will always be attracted to keep us bound to earth. God wants us to live a heavenly life on earth. However we will resist this because we are so earth bound. Death is the only reality that wakes us up to realise that there is something more than what we see here. When we have this awakening we will pursue all that heaven has in store for us. We will tap into the invisible to make it visible. All the resources in heaven are available to us if we will only believe. Let us today tap into the resources in heaven and live life to the full and not just exist.

I Have Been Chosen For A Time Like This.

Chosen

This may sound rather bombastic but I really feel chosen to be His voice in a time like this. I have tasted the goodness of the Lord over the years and feel so privileged to be called a son of God. This is not just to do with salvation but one is chosen to proclaim the Good News of the Gospel. In times like this where we are surrounded by despair and confusion, we need to hear what the Spirit is saying. Only those who are born again of the Spirit can hear His Spirit. Most even born again believers continue to walk in the flesh and not in the Spirit. This is the sad state of the church which the Bible describes as carnal.

Provision

God has provided us with a way of escape from this desperate state. In His Spirit we have supernatural provision for every need. When the Israelites wandered in the desert for forty years, God provided supernatural manna for their sustenance. Their clothes and shoes never wore out. This is what will happen during these times when we will be faced with food shortages and times of darkness. A light will shine in the midst of the darkness. God's plans cannot be thwarted. The enemy will try and destroy but God will come to the rescue. His people will rejoice at His providence.

Now Is The Time

This is the time to let go and let God. God is looking for people who will surrender all to Him. We will rest in the knowledge that He is in control and He will see us through till the end. What He has started He will complete. All we need to do is to walk in the Spirit and our soul and body will come in alignment. God is raising up servants to proclaim the Good news with signs and wonders following. Yes we shall see an abundance of miracles and all glory will be to His Name. Let us enter into the promised land now and never look back.

You Can Be In Your Secret Place All The Time.

Secret Place

God says that He will provide a way of escape in times of trouble. What is this way and place to escape to? I believe it is the secret place of His holy habitation. This is the place where our spirit communes with His Spirit. This is the place where we can hide and be ministered to by His Spirit. When we are in trouble we look for solutions to get us out of it. This is a natural response as none of us want to be distressed by our circumstances. However God says we need to trust Him during these times and not our own ways. Our ways may lead us to look for solutions in the wrong places. Many resort to drugs and alcohol as a way of escape. 

Habitation

God has a place for us to dwell in all the time. This is His place of habitation. We do visit this place from time to time especially in prayer. However we can operate from this place all the time. In the world we are taught to function in different roles to achieve different tasks. In the Spirit we operate in the same position but use different strategies. God's strategies are His ways. When we come to know His ways, we become more familiar with His personality. His ways are based on righteousness and truth. Our ways many times are selfish and self preserving. God sometimes allows us to face difficulties to mature us to be like Him.

Hiding Place

The secret place is our hiding place. In the Spirit we are not limited in time or space. We can be in the Spirit wherever we are. We can pray in the spirit all the time whilst we are doing our daily chores. In the Spirit we can go places and minister in the Spirit to people. God' s Spirit will put His burdens on our heart and we can pray through to deliverance. This is how the Kingdom of God operates. Sadly the church has lost the art of intercession. Jesus took time to pray and be charged in His spirit. He continues to pray for us as do all the saints in heaven who have gone before us. We need to take our place on earth to cooperate with heaven to establish His Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.

Choose To Live In The Spirit Daily Rather Than Your Head.

Spirit

God created us as a triune being in body, soul and spirit. Our spirit was redeemed when we were born again in the spirit through receiving His redemption of our spirit on the Cross. We however still live in our body and operate through our soul. Our soul which is our mind, emotions and will process our thoughts and implement our actions. These actions are mainly dictated by our senses which are still largely influenced by the world around us and the devil. We still struggle with the consequences of sin in our body and soul. This is why we see so much confusion and destruction around us. Our soul fights to survive through control and manipulation. Our conscience gets dulled over time because we get hardened by the world around us. 

Flesh

We see the evidence of the works of the flesh around us. Most of us learn to live with it and make compromises for the sake of peace. However this peace is temporary because it is based on lies rather than truth. Lies have the ability to distort the facts and compromise truth. We therefore appear to go round in circles. Each generation suffers the same ills but in different forms. This pervades all areas of life from the individual, family and society at large. Wars are fought to win control and domination. Fear is the ruling spirit in the world. Disease and sickness spread at a rapid rate through fear. There is no rest for the wicked. The world moves on from one crisis to another.

Jesus

Jesus came to deliver us from this present darkness. He enables us to operate in the Spirit as He did when He walked on earth. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives in us. We have access to His Spirit all the time. All we need to do is trust Him to speak to us. He speaks to us through all creation. He sends signs in the heavens and on earth. He will bless us from His riches in glory as we trust Him for all things. He becomes our habitation or dwelling place. In Him we are safe and secure for eternity. Come today and walk in the Spirit and prevail.

Life Is An Illusion. The Only Reality Is Jesus.

Illusion

An illusion is something that we see but it is a false perception. Our mind is able to conjure different scenarios of a situation. Some we believe and take action on and others we discard. However all that we see or think is a creation of our mind. Our mind is not limited by time or space and can imagine things from different perspectives. Most of it is driven by our thoughts and feelings. When we feel suspicious we have allowed those thoughts to infiltrate our mind. We then conjure up scenes that confirm our suspicion. Many of us are unconscious to this process. We are led by our thoughts and feelings. Many relationships struggle with these illusory perceptions. All they are, are perceptions and these can be changed with new information.

Spirit

Our spirit has access to the Holy Spirit who lives in those who believe. We can discern between right and wrong. We can operate in the spirit and not give into illusions of the truth. Our soul on the other hand is very sense oriented. It is led by our senses, what we see and hear. We hear a bad report and believe it, till we hear the other side of the report. Many conflicts can be resolved when we realise that there are two sides to a story. Many court battles try to convince the judge of one side of the story. These are all illusions of the truth. Most are unaware of the demonic influences in our daily lives. Demons work through people. Demons cause division and strife and where there is such strife become aware of demonic activity.

Demonic

Jesus came to set us free from the demonic. Everywhere He went, He was dealing with the demonic. Yet very little of this is preached in churches. Signs and wonders followed the preaching of the word. Captives were set free and the sick were made whole. This is how we recognise that the Kingdom of God is at hand. Where there is strife and disunity nothing of God will survive. We are in a battle for the minds and hearts of those who are being saved. Many are the illusions that lead us away from the truth. Illusions give us a false sense of security because they are temporary. What is of the truth is eternal. Let us give up our illusions of temporary happiness and work to be children of light in a dark world.

Our Book In Heaven Has Only Victories Written In It.

Heavenly Book

The Bible states that each of us has a book written with all that is planned for our life on earth. This was written before we were conceived in our mother's womb. We were designed by God and breathed into life to be His creation. However not all that is written in our book is fulfilled on earth. Many fail to fulfil His plans and will end up in hell. God created us in His image and we are part of Him. His Spirit will continue to woo us in His ways but we have to choose to follow Him. Some heed His calling and fit into His heavenly plan. Others only partially fulfil it. God's plan for our life is good and there are no failures in it. The failures and calamities we face are due to other factors that we face on earth.

Challenges

The challenges we face on earth are due to the fall. In the garden of Eden is the perfect image of God and man in harmony. There was no sickness or disease or disorder. It was like heaven on earth. This changed when man fell and listened to the deceiver of our souls. Today we face the same challenge to be deceived or to follow the voice of our Maker. In our book there are no calamities only victories. Israel had the choice of entering the promised land but wandered in the desert through unbelief. We too will wander and never realise the full potential of our creation through unbelief. It is time to reverse the plans of the devil and fulfil the plans of God.

Spirit

In the spirit we will be able to overcome. God is Spirit and we are made in the image of His Spirit. When we walk in obedience we will begin to fulfil all that is written in our book in heaven. This was God's ultimate plan to win back His lost creation through sending His son Jesus to die for us. God reversed the final enemy of sin, death, and rose Jesus from the dead. Now we can return to living life in heaven on earth. We can fulfil God's eternal plan for us and be His light and life on earth. Let us unite in this truth and believe and live.

What You Speak From The Spirit Brings Life.

Words

Our words have power to bless or to curse. Very few are aware that we are spirit beings made in the image of God. God spoke and created all things we see in the physical realm. He also created all things we don't see in the spiritual realm. They are both real. He spoke things into being. We have the same authority when we speak. However most of us are not careful in what we say. Most of us speak from our soul realm and therefore only affect the soul of another. When we speak from the spirit realm we affect both the spirit realm and the physical realm. This is a profound revelation and those who understand this will be more careful how we speak.

Spoken Word

The centurion believed Jesus when He said your servant is healed. Jesus spoke and the centurion believed and his servant was healed. Jesus did not do anything but speak. He said we have the same authority to speak the healing word and that word will go forth and bring healing. The Angels are prepared to take that spoken word and bring it into action. This is what prayer does. We pray according to His will and the Angels are activated to do His will. We can speak to our bodies to be in health. We can speak to our situations to be transformed on earth as it is in heaven. Authority releases the power to bring heaven to earth.

Authority

How few of us operate in this authority! If the church realised what authority she has on earth, we will not see the same chaos we are faced with today. God is waiting for the revelation of the sons of God. We are the sons of God. We need to take our place and be the head and not the tail. When we conform to the world's standards, we become like the world. We are called to be separate from the world and be an influence in the world. We do this by speaking from the spirit realm to change things on earth as light and salt of the earth. What a mission we have on earth as we wait for the return of our King and Lord. Let us go forth  and speak His word of life that all may see and believe.

Faith Comes By Hearing And Understanding The Word Of God.

Faith

Faith is trust and one must trust God to believe He exists. God is Spirit and we need to trust Hm through our spirit to believe and trust in Him. When we hear God's word we hear the sound but may not understand His word. Faith appears to be a word with no substance till it is believed. This is the difference between knowing about God and knowing Him intimately as a Father. Many believe in God but do not have the experience of knowing Him. This gap in belief and experience is because we are not believing with our heart. It is heart knowledge that leads to transformation. Merely knowing something does not change anything. 

Knowledge

Knowledge alone is not enough to trust. Trust comes from a conviction of the heart that what is written in His word is true. Once we are convinced we become convicted of the truth. It is this conviction that leads to transformation of our mind. Mere head knowledge does not bring conviction. Many believe God heals but then do not receive the healing. Could it be that the knowledge has not been translated into a conviction? I know from experience that the sun will set each day and a new morning will dawn the next day. In the same way we must trust God and know He is who He says He is. 

Understanding

Today let us not just be satisfied with knowing about God and be convinced in our heart that He is. This will bring a transformation in our mind that will affect our body. Healing and miracles will manifest and we will be made whole. Let us believe with our heart and see our neighbourhood, city and nation change as we trust God to move in our midst. In the spirit there is a whole new dimension that we can tap into if we would believe. God is waiting for the sons of God to be revealed and this is the time for it. The glory of the Lord will cover the earth as the water covers the sea.

Vision {visualise} Your Strategy Toward Your Goal.

Vision

Visualisation is a technique that is powerful in achieving goals. Once you can picture your strategy, you are able to implement it. We have goals but then fail to know how to achieve those goals. One way is to visualise your strategy and your whole being will be put into action. I have found that this works in all areas of life. Recently I was involved in painting the skirting boards in my house. I visualised a strategy and the task was achieved quickly. Visualisation is like thinking from the heart and not the head. Pictures are able to capture a scene and solve a problem very quickly. When we communicate we can paint a picture of the scene or communicate in words. The words will describe the picture to another person who then is able to see the picture.

Communicate in Pictures

There are various modes of communication. The communicator can describe a scene and draw a picture for the recipient. Another can describe it in words but fail to communicate the picture. Visual communication is powerful for it transmits an understanding that goes beyond the head. Heart communication is in pictures. Dreams are another form of communication in pictures. People who fail to see in pictures are limited in their thinking. This is a kind of blindness that prevents them from seeing the big picture. God is trying to communicate with us through pictures but we fail to understand Him because we translate His words in words. 

Solution

Ask God to open your eyes to see Him high and lifted up seated on His heavenly throne. A deeper understanding will descend on you and the scales from your eyes will fall. Many are blind to God and His ways because they fail to understand Him. We need to pray that our eyes are opened to see Him as He is. It is this vision of Him that will transform us from our limited perception to His perception of us. We were created in His image. Once we see Him as He is, we become more like Him in our image. This is what Jesus came to show us. He came as a son of man to reveal the Father heart of God. He came to save us from our fallen state and redeem us into our heavenly state.

The Faith Of Abraham

Faith

God counted Abraham's faith in Him and Abraham walked in righteousness. Abraham trusted God. God recognised this and changed his name from Abram to Abraham. He was given a new name in recognition of his faith. He did not attain this through works but through trust. His works resulted from his faith. How we need to get back to this kind of faith or trust in God. We have turned faith into a work and therefore feel we need to earn favour with God. God never intended this. Adam did not have to work in the garden till he fell from grace. We too need to get back to the state Adam was before the fall. Working for something is different from working because of something. This something is called love.

Love

God loves the world that He sent His only begotten Son to redeem the world He created. We must trust God as He is the author of our faith. He works through our spirit and therefore we must trust Him with our heart. It is one thing to trust him with our head but it is heart trust that bears fruit. Abraham's faith resulted in righteousness. Our faith too will result in righteousness. This means we are acceptable to God because we believe in Him. The church needs to return to its first love. We have drifted away from faith in God to works for God. We cannot please God through works. Anyone who comes to God must come by faith. This is the key to a relationship with God our Heavenly Father. Jesus came to show us the way to the Father.

Trust

In a fallen world we are challenged by fallen wisdom. Wisdom from above is pure and unadulterated. God started a work in us and He will finish it. All we need to do is trust in Him to do so. We need to guard our hearts lest it wander away from its first love. God wants us to remain hot for Him and not become lukewarm. The seven churches in Turkey started off well but then became compromised. They were judged for this and they no longer exist. We too must heed this warning lest we too end up in the same state. Trust God and be well.

What Does It Mean, To Have The Mind Of Christ?

Mind

Mind is to do with our thought life. We think through our mind. We feel through our emotions. Our thinking is limited by our physical senses. We perceive things through our physical senses. We sense pain and our mind interprets this pain as a danger sign. We smell fragrance and our mind interprets this as sweet smelling and refreshing. Our mind is the place where we process what we see and hear. A sound is perceived differently depending on how well our hearing is. This can give rise to distortions. A half empty glass can be seen as a half filled glass. We hear of opinions expressed though the media and our filters decide on what is right and wrong. All this happens in our mind. Therefore our actions result from how we perceive things. Our mind however is limited. We believe one story till we hear the other version of the same event. 

Spirit Mind

To have the mind of Christ is to think like He does. His revealed word in the Bible gives us the framework of His mind. We begin to process things through the filter of His word. What would Jesus do is a common question we can ask. His Spirit in us will enlighten us if we ask Him. The Spirit and the word work together to enable us to have the mind of Christ. Without His word we don't have a framework to understand the things of the Spirit. His word has many layers of meaning. His Spirit opens our eyes to see the truth. Once we were blind now we see when we perceived the truth. Mind blindness is real. This is why we need the Spirit to see and do like Christ. In the Spirit there are no limits.

Mind Of Christ

My spirit mind is able to comprehend things that are limited by my earthly mind. This is how what was impossible became possible. People are raised from the dead. Someone had faith to believe and spoke the now word which raised the dead. The same way healing is possible as we speak His word of healing over our bodies and minds. To have the mind of Christ is to be able to see and do as He did on earth. This is astounding that we have this ability to see and do as He did. Let us pursue to live by the Spirit and imitate Christ in this. Living in the mind of Christ makes us one with Him.

Walking In The Spirit Is The Only Way To Die To The Flesh.

Spiritual Insight

Spiritual insight is to be able to see through the eyes of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit indwells each believer and provides the way of escape from the thoughts and intents of our soul. Our soul is still prone to sin in thought, word and deed. Our spirit has been redeemed and is the dwelling place for the Holy Spirit. Therefore to walk in the spirit is to walk in unity with the Holy Spirit. God has provided for us a Comforter and Guide who will see us through our journey on earth till we leave planet earth to be with Him forever. This is His promise and He has come to dwell within us to help us with our walk.

Soulish Walk

Our soul which is our thoughts, feelings and will are so influenced by the world around us. We compromise ourselves in our walk when we walk according to the demands of our flesh. This is why many believers find themselves conflicted within themselves. They want to walk according to the Spirit but find themselves powerless to do so. The only way out is to surrender all to the Lord and stop sitting on the fence. It is time to make a commitment to either follow the Lord or give into our fleshly desires. Our fleshly desires lead to death. Following the Holy Spirit leads to life.

Spirit Led Walk

God is calling the sheep to enter into the fullness He has prepared for all who desire to follow Him.  There is no place for compromise. There is a yes or a no and we have to decide who we will follow. This is where our will decides to follow the Holy Spirit or not. When we decide to follow Him we receive power to do according to His Spirit,His will. It is a battle of wills and this is where we face warfare. Come today and let us be led by the Holy Spirit and enter into the land of His promises.

When We Are Fixed On Our Future, Our Past Fades Away.

Past

So many of us are plagued by our past. It invades our dreams and thoughts and saps us of energy. We dwell on our regrets and guilt on most occasions drives these thoughts and dreams. God does not wants us to be stuck in our past. He has a good future for us. We need to distance ourselves from our past and focus on our future. The present is also past as we are always walking into our future. We therefore need to focus ourselves on God' s promises of a good and prosperous future. We know our destiny is heaven so let us move forward into our destiny. We are just passing through in this life till we complete our assignment. Our life is not limited to this earthly realm. We are heaven bound and so our thoughts and dreams must be futuristic.

Future

In the Spirit we can dwell in heaven on earth. Whatever maybe happening around us, we can dwell in our secret place and be at peace. God is resident in us through His Holy Spirit. This is our dwelling place. From this place we are led daily to our destiny. This is our safe place and nothing can distract us from this place. This is a place where we receive His rhema word and dreams and visions. Revelations from heaven are released to us and life takes on a totally heavenly dimension. This is the place of rest and few enter into it. We are so taken up by a works mentality that we fail to enter into His rest. God has already planned everything for us and is in our future. We need to know this and be at rest.

Rest

How do we enter into this place of rest? We need to trust God. We walk by faith and not by reason. Joshua and Caleb entered into the promised land by faith despite the giants before them. We too can do the same. Only those who will trust completely in God's faithfulness can enter in and be at rest. The path may not be easy but when we live from within us we become strong and bold. We fix our eyes on Jesus who is the Author and Finisher of our faith. In this way He carries us through to the end. Let us enter in today and be at rest.

If Jesus Conquered Death Why Do We Still Die?

Death

Jesus died and rose from the dead is a fact. In this way He proved that He had conquered death. We have been redeemed from the power of sin which caused death and therefore have also been saved from death. However this death refers to spiritual death. We have been redeemed from spiritual death. Our soul and body have not been redeemed. Our soul and body will suffer from the effects of sin. We are being transformed in our soul through the renewing of our mind. This transformation will have beneficial effects on our body. Physical death is a reality because we will all die one day. Yet this is a temporary phase as we will go to be with the Lord till we receive our new body.

Spiritual Death

Our relationship with God is through our spirit. Our spirit was dead but now is redeemed through the death of Jesus. Our spirit now is alive and has eternal life. We can now have a relationship with Father God. Our spirit now can grow in knowledge and wisdom. The Holy Spirit resides in our spirit. He communicates with us and directs our paths. In this way our soul is transformed as we choose His ways rather than our way. Once we walked in the knowledge and wisdom of our fallen state. Now we can walk in the newness of the Spirit. He will lead us into all truth. 

Life In The Spirit

In the Spirit we have life. This is the life of God in us. Now we have a new walk in the Spirit. This will transform us from within. What we used to enjoy no more has a hold on us. We are changed from glory to glory. Our soul and body gets touched by the Spirit. We begin to enjoy the walk in the Spirit. Our perceptions change and we now are changed to be like Jesus. In this fallen and broken world we will face many challenges. However God will lead us in His ways and provide a way of escape. He will meet all our needs from His resources in heaven. The devil will not be able to bother us because we are covered in His blood. We now can bother the devil by doing God's will. We become light and salt on earth to bless others.

Spiritual Truth Is Reality. Everything Else Is An Illusion Of Reality.

Spirit Realm

We live in a world where we are mainly sense led. Our physical senses perceive our sense of time, space and direction in life. This then dictates what we perceive as reality. However there is a spiritual realm that is above the physical realm. This world can only be perceived through our spirit. God is Spirit and therefore we can only know Him by faith through the spirit. The spirit world is real even though we don't see it. Just because we cannot measure the spirit world does not mean that it does not exist. We know there is a greater power that keeps the galaxies and all we see above us in perfect balance. Yet we deny His existence because we cannot measure Him through our senses. 

Spiritual Truth

Spiritual truth is reality. When one becomes aware of this realm everything else fades into the background. What we perceive through our senses is just a reflection of what is happening in the spirit realm. This may sound weird to some but that does not make it less real. We can observe indirectly some things that happen that are beyond explanation. How does one explain miracle cures? How can one pray and see the results of prayer repeatedly not as a coincidence! When we become aware of the spirit realm, our whole world takes on a different perspective. We realise that all that we see is here today but gone tomorrow. Death is a reality that few of us want to think about. 

Jesus

Jesus came to reveal the reality of the spirit realm to us. He came as a  human being so that we can understand Him and through Him God. He demonstrated the impossible through signs and wonders. His disciples went on to do the same. Today we see these signs are possible if we believe. I have experienced His healing power and manifestations at different times. I cannot explain it in physical terms but they were real. Once we get to know the Holy Spirit as a person He will lead us into all truth. This is now my reality. Nothing compares to this personal relationship with the Holy Spirit who guides me each day. He is not limited by time and space and I now live an eternal life.

God Knows Our Thoughts

Our Thoughts

This can come as alarming to some that God actually knows our thoughts. He is the one who created us and He knows all about us and loves us. He does not look at our fallen state but our redeemed state in His Son. This is so profound that He could still love us despite our fallen state. Our thoughts are mainly from our soul realm. We are influenced by so many voices around us. Many of these voices are negative and we entertain these negative thoughts. God has provided us with a way of escape through His Holy Spirit who lives in us.

Holy Spirit

In the Spirit we can overcome all negative thoughts and feelings. When we become aware of our negative thoughts we can distance ourselves from them and bring them to submission to Christ. The more we walk in the Spirit the more we will become able to overcome. Our negative thoughts are our battle ground. We have allowed these thoughts to remain and so they have become part of us. The whole process of transformation is to be transformed in our minds. This happens as we yield to the Spirit in us.

Solution

God has provided for us an escape through His promises in His word. We need to replace our thoughts with His positive word. We should not allow the devil to rob us of our inheritance in Christ. We have a bright future and hope. God wants the best for us and our destiny is already recorded in our books in heaven. All we have to do is to trust Him to bring it to pass as we trust in Him. This is the only way to live a holy life acceptable to Him. He has provided for us, for He knows our weaknesses and will strengthen us in our time of need. Let us look to Him to complete what He has begun in us.

Whose Report Will You Believe?

God's Report

God has written His report in His word. We read other reports which are man made. Whose reports will we believe? God's word was written to reveal His mind to us. His word was sent that we may know the mind of God. He created us and gave us laws to abide by for our good. However man had other ideas and decided to rebel. God has written His report in His word. He created us and gave us laws to abide by for our good. What we see around us of death and destruction is the result of following our own ideas. God had planned that we would live forever but through our own wilfulness rejected His ways. We decided we would run our own lives. The seed of Satan planted in us through rebellion continues to work destruction in us. What is the way out?

Man's Report

We need to get back to following our Creator and His ways. His ways are clearly laid out in the Bible. We can choose to read His written word and obey it or not. We have all been given a choice. When we do what He says, we will reap the fruits of obedience. When we choose to love we will reap love. When we choose to lie, we will become a lie. What we sow we will reap. We are not alone as He sent His own Spirit to help us do what is right. Why then do many choose to do it their way? This is the root of all our problems. Pride entered our heart and pride keeps us from doing what is right. In Romans 7 Paul describes this dilemma very clearly. He says we know what is right to do but do what is wrong. 

Our Choice

In these last days God is asking us to choose His ways as recorded in His Word. He promises us an abundant life free from the cares and toils of this world. How is this possible when we live in a world torn apart by differences and lies? We can only do this when we realise we are spirit beings who can live life in the Spirit. God has chosen to make His residence in us. His Kingdom is in us. We can live life like heaven on earth when we live in the Spirit. He has given us eternal life in the spirit. What a solution for man's fallen state. Now we have to choose daily whom we will follow. Let us choose to follow Jesus who is the Author and Finisher of our faith.

The Same Power That Raised Jesus From The Dead Lives In You.

Resurrection Power

Wow, what power resides in us yet how little we experience this power! Why is this so? I believe this is so only because we have only a mental assent of this power. Most of us know a lot about the Bible but few of us have entered into the experience of it. We can only access this power if we are baptised in the Spirit. Jesus was with the disciples and yet they only had limited power. It is only after His ascension that the Holy Spirit came to indwell them at Pentecost. What a transformation took place then. Signs and miracles followed the preaching of the word. Dunamis power was released amongst them. The sick got healed and the captives got delivered. 

Power Available Today

This same power is available to us today. We must believe and receive this power from on high. We have testimonies of people like Smith Wigglesworth that walked in this power and raised people from the dead. How many of us desire to walk in this power? This will turn our world upside down. God is still the same God. He has not changed. We have compromised and made the gospel safe and trendy. We are like clouds without rain. There is no manifestation of the Spirit in us. We have been slowly induced into a state of apathy. This is the sorry state of the church today. How can we change but by believing and receiving  His Spirit in fullness.

Avail Of The Power

This is possible today and I want to enter into all that God has prepared for me. All of us have books written about us in heaven but few of us fulfil all that is written. We have to press in and obtain the promises God has promised. He said seek first the Kingdom of God and all these things will be added to you. This means physical and mental health too. Is this not the answer to all the sickness and turmoil we face in the world today? The church has the answer and the world is waiting for the revelation of the sons of God. Now is the time to stand up and believe that there is no greater power than the resurrection power that resides in us.

Faith Without Works Is Dead

Faith

Without faith we cannot please God. He who comes to God must believe that He is. This means we must trust that He is who He says He is. We cannot come to God through reason because our reasoning is finite. God is Spirit and our finite thinking will fail to comprehend Him. We must believe before we can receive this revelation. Once we have received then we can act on what we believe. If our believe is only a mental activity then all we have is a god made in our own image. This is a waste of time and energy as idols created by man to replace God only serve our own desires. This is where most religions are stuck in worshipping god created in their own image. Satan wanted to be like God and so he fell from his glorious position in heaven.

Action

Faith is action. Faith will produce fruits. Faith the Bible says is the substance( title deed) of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. When we operate in faith we can expect to receive what we hope for and this applies to all areas of life. God is Spirit and we are spirit beings and so when we operate in the Spirit we are able to access His riches in heaven. This applies to our physical and mental needs not just our spiritual needs.When we receive we are able to share this with others. Others will benefit from what we receive. The same glory that Jesus has He shares with us.  We now can share of this glory with others.

Personal Experience

Faith without works therefore is like clouds without rain. Our faith in a living God must translate into action. I have experienced God's blessing and favour in all areas of my life. I want to share His goodness with others. God called us for a purpose and this is to bless others. We are called to bless others who are not as fortunate as us. Feed the poor and look after the widow and lonely. These are all works of faith. We see this in how hospitals and schools were established because faith resulted in works of charity. Let us today expect to see God move in our lives to bless others through our works. Even a smile can change a life.

Love God, Love Others, Love Yourself.

Loving God

Jesus said all the commandments are fulfilled in this commandment, "Love God with all your heart and love your neighbour as yourself". The Ten Commandments were given for our good to guide us in what is good and acceptable. Man added to these commandments to shackle us with rules and regulations which were burdensome. Jesus came to set us free from these laws by giving us the law of love and life. His law is love and love fulfils all the commandments and rules to govern life. Laws are like boundaries. They protect us and keep us safe from danger. Break the law and it will break you. 

Loving Others

Loving God appears to be easy. However the love for God is seen in our love for others. The way we show we love God is through our love for our fellow human beings. This is the litmus test for our love for God. Some may say this is unfair as God is all loving but humans are not. Yet Jesus command is to love our enemies. Who can fulfil this command? With God all things are possible. If God said it than it must be possible. Yet in real life we struggle with this commandment to love our enemies. This is because we are trying to do it in our own strength. In His Spirit it is possible to love our enemies. Jesus loved Judas even though He knew he would betray Him.

Loving Self

We must first love ourselves to be able to love others. In the Spirit we can love ourselves despite all our failings and traumas. God's love can do the impossible. We cannot love others if we do not first love ourselves. We were made in the image of God. When we see ourselves as God sees us then we will love ourselves as He loves us. Today let us turn our eyes from self to God and see the transformation take place. His love will so change us that we will be able to love anyone as Jesus loves all and died for all. Our relationships will change and peace will fill our homes as we love as He loves.

Will You Welcome Jesus Into Your Home Today? If Not Why Not?

Question

This is a confronting question but worth asking. How will things have to change if Jesus came home to stay? Will my daily routines have to change? Will my friendships have to change? Will my talk have to change? What about what I watch on television and online? Maybe we have to do an audit to see how much change we will have to make  if Jesus moves in. However He lives in us. He is resident in our life through the Holy Spirit. Yet most of the time we are not aware of His presence or are we? Jesus said He had no place to lay His head down. Why was this so? People were happy to follow Him from a distance but when persecution came they all left  Him.

Lordship

Has anything changed today? Are we happy to have Jesus to meet our needs but keep Him at a distance? Many call Him Lord but do we really understand what it means to say He is Lord? Our conscience has been so seared by the culture we live in that we don't even know what sin is! We have accommodated to the culture we live in and nothing appears to upset us. We do things all in the name of tolerance and love. Is it loving to tolerate evil? Yet this is what we are doing in our churches. We have a good time and hear nice messages that keep us comfortable and warm. Jesus came to upset the status quo. He did not bring peace but division. So what was the peace He was talking about?

Audit

In this world we will face challenges that will confront us and we have to make a choice for good or evil. There is no compromise as compromise means we have given in to evil. We cannot compromise with sin. We cannot cover it with nice clothes and perfume. It is still sin. It is time for us to do an audit and ask ourselves the question. Will Jesus be comfortable to live with us or will He be left outside? I am challenged by this question and have to do a daily audit to stop doing things which I know I will not do or say if Jesus is in my home. Judge yourself is a good way to start the process of cleaning up my own house. His peace is real when we make Him Lord.

Believers Are In The World But Not Of The World

World

This world is not our home. Our home is in heaven and we are just visiting down here. This may sound weird to some who live as if this world is all there is. In Christ we have been saved out of this world and become part of the Kingdom of God. Our Kingdom is of another realm. Jesus said this when he responded to Pilate and said His Kingdom is not of this earth. We too must live life like this, so that we can win many over to the Kingdom of God. However we don't see this difference between the world and the church today. The church has allowed the world to lead the way rather than the our way round. We see this in all areas of life where compromise has caused the church to bend to the demands of worldly demands.

Present Culture

This is the challenge we face daily as believers. The present culture is anti Christ and we have to choose if we will conform or challenge. If we choose to challenge the system we will be faced with penalties. This may lead to loss of jobs and reputation. If we decide to take a stand on issues like abortion, same sex marriage or trans culture we will be faced with hostility. What do we do then? We are called to be light and salt in our culture. How can we be light and salt if we are no different from the culture we live in? We are called to be separate from the world in the way we lead our life. How can one work in a culture that has different values to one that we believe in?

Taking A Stand

These are challenges we will all face and we have to make a choice. I made a choice and got into trouble for it. However I took a stand and challenged the system. Many have followed and now we wait to see the progress in how the government will respond to the challenge. Believers have to stand up for what they believe in. Compromise appears to be friendly and tolerant but like the frog in a boiling pot will soon die. Light cannot mix with darkness. We can be friendly but if standing for truth offends than that will be a choice we have to make. The Kingdom of God will suffer violence but we must stand and be firm in what we believe. There is no other way to resist the slow tide of decay and demoralisation.

The Problem With The Human Condition Is Not Psychological But Spiritual.

Human Condition

Many have tried to make a case for the human condition which is struggling to understand the good and evil in a person. Most have looked for biological reasons and even come up with theories to understand this psychologically. However none of these theories hold water as the basic reason for this is spiritual. The Bible clearly describes the human condition in no uncertain terms. Sin is a problem and there is no solution to sin than the sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross. Many see this as a easy solution but God who created us also provided a solution. Why then do humans try to  come up with another explanation? Man has always desired to be in control and through this need is driven to make sense of the dilemma we find ourselves in.

God's Solution

This has been the problem from the beginning. Our fallen nature rejects the need for another. We were made in the image of God and therefore are able to fathom into the depths of creation. However we fail to understand that we are still His creation and not the Creator. In this fallacy lies the problem of man and so the development of different theories for our existence. God has provided a simple answer but we reject it at our cost. The cost is eternal death rather than eternal life. God knew the nature of man and so planned that His Son would be sent to die to reverse the curse of sin. 

Jesus

The solution is before us but we have to choose to accept His solution. Our pride blinds us to the simple but profound plan of redemption. We choose the complicated and complex theories rather than accept what is plain and free. Man has always limited himself because we are of this world. God is Spirit and those who come to Him must come by faith and not reason. Reason will not open our eyes to see. Only faith in a loving God can open our eyes to see the splendour and majesty of God. Come today and be blessed through Jesus and be saved from eternal death to eternal life.

Baptisms. How Many?

Water

The Bible mentions baptisms that sometimes are all boxed into one. I believe there are separate baptisms and each has a power and revelation. Traditional churches focus on infant baptism but this is only a ritual to receiving more as a person becomes mature in the faith. The first baptism mentioned is the water baptism. This is to follow repentance and receiving Jesus as Saviour and Lord. It is a public declaration of death and resurrection into new life in Christ. Our spirit is born again and we now are able to walk in the spirit. Most evangelical teaching would stop at this and rest satisfied with this baptism.

Spirit

However there is a baptism in the Spirit that is a further step in the walk in the spirit. Jesus baptises in the Spirit and Fire. The baptism in the Spirit is usually manifested in speaking in tongues. This is what happened at Pentecost when the Spirit filled the first disciples. This is the same today when we are filled in the Spirit. Taking control of our tongue is significant because it is the rudder to our life. What we speak influences us and others. The consecration of our tongue is a manifestation of how the Spirit works. We now have a gift that enables us to talk directly to God. It bypasses our mind but understanding comes as our tongue gets interpreted. God reveals His mind to us and it comes in the form of a revelation. This is my experience.

Fire

Finally there is the baptism in fire. Fire connotes burning. Fire burns all the dross in our life. It purifies us. All that is not holy is burnt out of us. God dwells in a fireplace. He is holy and we now also are set on fire. Fire also empowers. This means that there is a power released to move mountains. Fire power can drive demons out and purify the habitation. If we want to see God move amongst us in power we need the fire of God in us. There is warmth and love that burns like fire. Fire also brings light in darkness. Nothing of darkness can reside in darkness. Darkness will be exposed in the light. All that is corrupt will be exposed. We need the baptism in fire to move forward in God.

How To Love Your Family, Friends And Enemies

Conflict

In this broken world we live in many are the reasons for conflict and discord. Our sense of justice and right have been so damaged that sometimes one wonders where we truly belong! We see the same conflicts being acted out in families and society at large. Every area of life has been infected with the virus of death. Broken relationships are so prevalent that many nations now are in conflict. Conflict only brings more fear and destruction and can never solve problems. We need to find ways to love rather than hate each other. Knowledge is good but failure to apply it leads to nothing. We know what is right but fail to do it. In this is the base for a lot of problems.

Demonic Strategy

The god of this world desires to steal, kill and destroy. Many are unaware of his designs. Most are blind to the spiritual dimension that affects our daily life. Once we see the demonic activity behind many problems, our perceptions change. Instead of playing the blame game we begin to discern the spirit behind a person that is feeding the conflict. This is a game changer. I no longer see others as out to destroy me but see them as being used by demonic powers. I now begin to bind those forces behind a person that is driving their behaviour. This is a change in strategy in dealing with conflicts. We attack the situation from a different dimension than the human dimension. This applies to all areas of life.

Jesus Strategy

Jesus came to destroy the works of the evil one. He exercised authority over them. They could not act out in His presence. They would scream at Him to leave them alone. We have been given the same authority to bind and to loose. Once we realise that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but spiritual, it changes everything. We begin to get down on our knees to tap into the resources of heaven to deal with the situations on earth. Wars have been won through this strategy. Enemies have been won over and sinners have come to repentance. What a different world we will live in when we begin to do this in our world.

Your Perception Can Mar Your Sense Of Reality

Perception

Perception is the reception of your mind to see things the way you perceive them. Your senses see or hear and your mind interprets what you see and hear and this is perception. The interpretation of your sense is what leads to your sense of reality. I can perceive an object as beautiful but another person may see it as ugly. How is this possible? This is possible because what we perceive depends on how we interpret reality. Reality is a state of mind. My reality maybe different from yours. This is why we have so many opinions about issues and persons. This maybe confusing but this is how we interpret reality. What then is real?

Reality

What is real many times turns out to be fake because our perceptions have deceived us. Reality is a perception and can be challenged. However there are general rules we need to follow. A red light is a red light unless you are colour blind. One who is colour blind will refute this reality. Once people thought the world was flat till the facts were challenged and now we believe the world is round. However there are still people who think that the world is flat! This is all to do with perception. Your reality is your perception. Some can be so fixed in their thinking that they are deluded. We label this as a psychosis. Our mind is so complex and needs constant attention to renew it.

Bible 

The Bible says we are transformed by the renewal of our mind. What we have been taught has to be renewed through the word of God. We are programmed in this fallen world to think and perceive in certain ways. The word of God comes to challenge this view. Some believe God causes sickness and disease. The Bible states that the devil causes sickness and disease. This change in thinking will cause us to believe for healing rather than accept the sickness. This is a change of perception. I once perceived my sickness as trouble now I see it as an opportunity for healing. Reality has changed the way I deal with sickness. I now believe for divine health rather than sickness.

Knowledge Without Understanding Is Useless

Knowledge

In this world we have a lot of knowledge about things and matters to do with our physical world. This is good but a lot of knowledge without understanding does no one any good. I may know a lot about the workings of a motor car engine but what use is it if I can't apply what I know practically? Knowledge in itself is not bad but has no power to change me if I fail to understand what I know. This lack of understanding blinds people to the truth. This can be applied in all areas of our life especially to our spiritual world. We know a lot about God but do not know Him as a person.

Understanding

We were born again in our spirit. This means that once our spirit was dead but in Jesus our spirit has come alive. We have a new spirit in us. Many are satisfied with this position and do not go any further. However God has more for us then just having a new spirit. He desires to give us His own Holy Spirit to indwell us. This is called the baptism in the Holy Spirit with the manifestation in tongues. Few either lack this knowledge or refuse to accept that this is required to live an abundant life. It is only by revelation that one becomes aware of the need to be baptised in the Spirit. 

Application

When we read the scriptures we can read it as an inspiring word. However His word becomes flesh when we understand and receive His word personally. There is a big difference between knowing about His word and knowing His word. I can know all the rules about driving a car but it is only when I drive a car do I really understand how to drive a car. Many fail to understand that God is a person and desires a relationship with us. We maybe saved and bound for heaven but fail to know Jesus as a person in a relationship with Him. What a wonder this is that we can have a relationship with God who is as real as our next door neighbour. Let us enter into the fullness that God has prepared for us and live.
